I dont understand people paying 150k+ ..crazy. Just buy a LHD one, same car, and then the wheel is on the best side for driving on the best roads.. Simples. Also with PDK the difference in driving a leftie is minimal...

I prefer 911s in LHD form anyway.. As they were designed...

The 100k list price went out of the window a long time ago on this car, its about the car now and just how good it is, in particular in relation to its counter parts....Spz etc. No reason what so ever that a top spec CS with low miles will not make very close to 200k before the summer..
Interesting, so can I ask would you pay £200k for one in summer (not sure if you already have one, but for the sake of this argument lets imagine you
don't)?
If I was in the market for a n/a car, and had the means, yes absolutely......Trust me on this...The 991 GT3 is the best car, from a fun interaction point, I have ever owned driven out side the top 2, ie the 918 and Lafa, it really is that good

My last car, list £117,000, paid £89,000, traded £66,000.
was this a stock car, or one to your spec?
Brand new I'm afraid. cry car was p/ex'd after 14 months. I did not expect any over allowance or discount off the price of the GT3. Had I been buying any other marque I would have achieved more.

Something existing owners of GT3's are not mentioning is the fact that their cars were taken back by Porsche to have new engines fitted then for the duration of last Summer they were loaned new 911 Cabriolets plus they were given £1,000 a month! Then they get their cars back do a few miles and sell them for a huge profit! How good is that?

GT4 is that now :-p, GT3 is now just about lap times, RS will be for collectors, and when the 960 is out where does that leave the base GT3 ?

we will have 3 Mid engine sports cars In the Porsche range

GT4, 960, 918

I don't get the GT3 hype even with the 991 esp at over list with prices getting near to the far faster and superior 458S

there come a price when people will want the 960 or 458S if prices keep going up.

only good news about GT3 prices is it will make GT4 price hit £100k this summer if GT3 prices hit £200k which is only good news for people lucky enough to get a GT4 slot.

I would think that GT4s will be 100k for a CS, before the 1st one has turned a wheel...

I am inclined to agree, something very strange seems to be going on with the prices for RHD cars.

£165K is 222K € for a used RHD 991 GT3. At the same time the cars on mobile.de are around 130-150k € tops.

There's a grey 991 GT3 Clubsport with 3900 miles for £102k on mobile.de right now!
http://suchen.mobile.de/auto-inserat/porsche-991-g...

There are also plenty of 0 mile cars sitting on there, below list price.

Example: white 0 mile car, clubsport, lift, sports chrono... 7K € below list at £107k: http://suchen.mobile.de/auto-inserat/porsche-991-g...

€200K/£148K buys you guaranteed delivery of a first batch 991 GT3 RS!

Maybe Porsche made a blunder with the RHD car allocation?
Maybe many of the UK cars are "leaking" to big hitters Hong Kong that don't care about prices?

What's so good about the GT4 that you couldn't get from a 996 GT3? Just a shiny new toy. Most drivers won't extract the perfomance enough to compafe rear vs mid engine. Both great cars but let's not get overdone with the new model hype.

991 GT3 is a genuine alternative to a 458 spaz imo. I cancelled my spaz, largely because of being cocked about on the delivery date, but also because I couldn't see what it would give me that my GT3 wouldn't. A bit more of an event maybe, not really anything in it on the road, in fact the GT3 felt better to drive, rolls less, understeers less, better brakes. But I accept margins are wafer thin and some prefer the spaz, wouldn't be surprising for another 100k list price. GT3 more than worth these higher prices now imo. One of the best cars I've owned by far.

And how could you possibly know that ? Have you driven one? Yet more of your groundless hyperbole and lobotomized supposition.

Only good news for who ? I suspect there may be some fairly smug feeling 991 GT3 and 997 GT3/RS owners on here right now ....

Suggest you check with DVLA and see if they've got either of these plate s to slap on your GT4 : PAR0 CH 1 AL or TED 1 OUS :-p

Looks like another one for sale over £155k, no lift, no extended leather, no PCCB.

Gotta hand it to you, you read this market well. thumbup

A Generation 2 991 GT3 is the only thing that will temper prices.. Perhaps, in RHD, it was a £150k car from the outset. Would they have sold out then?

The rules of supply and demand for a great product, are no different to this 991GT3 than any other commodity.......

As for Gen 2s, in 991 for the 3 and RS, not going to happen....I have tried to think of a reason as to why it wont hit 200k, I honestly can not think of one....

Guys, love mine. Really do. Have barely driven it properly and really like it. But 165k ? Sounds like a lot of money to me. And would make me hesitate for a LHD Speciale tbh.

But maybe I have not driven enough mine. 400 miles is not a lot :-)

The car is addictive even for short journeys
The engine sound is great , it clunks and clatters as it says ... take me out and beat the hell out of me
And if you go to the Silverstone day out you will realise what you have bought

So how easy would it be to convert a LHD from Germany to UK spec and what needs doing....

Headlights? Will these need replacing or just adjusting to RHD angles?
Speedo to read in KMH?
Rear fog light?
Sat-Nav to UK disc or does the German set-up include UK?
Will the car's menu etc just switch to English language as an option?

Zero miles CS spec cars at £107k sound like a steal....
