The car looks ok, but you need to spend some money on your living accommodation.
I'm not ever letting you see my place.

Cant see a problem here. You wanna the car and maintian it and havent the funds for the dream home as well? .... As long as its watertight then happy days.

My pad

Nothing two gallons of petrol and a box of matches couldn't sort out.

I don't think setting fire to Wozzer is going to solve anything.

He's probably too damp anyway.

I dunno. The amount of fat I'm carrying these days, I reckon I'll burn candle like for a while biggrin

A few years on from this post and I'm wondering if a non S 981 would be the 'perfect' daily to sit alongside the 993, anyone got/had one and thoughts?

I do wonder if it would overshadow the 993, at least from a driving perspective?

Cheers

Hard to comment when you don't say what you want from a driving experience and whether you're talking PDK or manual. Power to weight a difference on PDK but if it's a daily commuter, not necessarily a factor.

It’d be manual and I’m not overly bothered about ultimate speed hence thinking a non S would be sufficient, especially as a daily.

Currently running a Fiesta ST and E92 M3 as dailies and thinking of going back to one car for daily duties. One of my main requirements is to enjoy great cars whilst we still can, and I’m not sure it’s a waste only doing this at weekends. A six cylinder car and a fairly practical one would seem to be the mid way point, which the Cayman does, and of course primarily it’s a great drive – I don’t want to be in dull cars anymore!

I have a 981 and a 996. If you haven't tried one of the newer Porsche cars with electric steering I'd caution you they feel a bit, well there isn't any feel. You'll get more feedback from your m3. If you want to enjoy a great car as a daily then get an early 996. They're cheap enough to buy. Here is mine
