Who needs PTS when you can gold leaf it. The car and the 45 lbs of added gold has been valued at about $600,000.

It costs a lot of money to look that cheap.

The gold alone is worth £972K.

(45lb x 16 x 0.911458 x 1481.07 = 971951.832)
^ gold price per troy ounce
^ conversion to troy ounces
^ avoirdupois oz

I guess the value was rated at the time of the 996, but quick off the draw with the maths! very impressive!

Good point, and yes, I'm deeply sad.

Not a garage queen…

Looks great. Was this one you found in Aust?
Thanks - yes, it is. From a specialist about 20km from where I live, the previous owner lives about 5km away…biggrin
The classics are looking better and better ... much prefer the Cup2 wheels and they are quite light !
thumbup

And the wheels are option 398, which is 993-style 5-spoke wheels, which I think are Cup 2 - or is that what you meant?

Special Porsche 964 rebuilt to WTL guise with 993 engine.

Why? Well, because the owner did not find their ultimate 911... The 993 six has slightly more torque and the sports zorst booms more than the older spec six.

This cab is comfy and it stands out. But not too much.

Interior spec is especially nicely done. WTL wide body looks the part. Only 2 original cabs came in WTL looks.

I believe the later 968's came with Cup 2 wheels as standard ... I think these are prettier than the Cup 1 wheel style, and they are lighter than the Cup 1's ... unless you had a set of Magnesium Cup 1's for the 964RS ...
