"Going on holiday on Wednesday but it’s a roadtrip (not in GT3)
What's that, a freaking C2 with a very convincing aerokit and replica wheels then ? All the same

Cheers Digga. It was indeed.
Hi Henry.
The decision making in the run up to this trip was pathetic even by my usual standards.
I changed my mind almost hourly and even started loading my wife’s car with the luggage.
Luckily I came to my senses though and I’m glad I did.
(Oh and I’ll be in touch properly upon my return. )
Mr PG - If you haven’t been before, I doubt you’ll be disappointed. If you have been before, well you know what to expect.
Have fun!

A closer look at the one picture indicates the dream crusher sat in the passenger seat either indulging in a spot of crocheting, or stabbing a voodoo doll (probably of you) for electing to take the noisy, harsh riding, uncomfortable “Beetle” at the last moment ... Hi Henry.

Cheers Hoolio. It is a great road. I’m not sure any road could claim to be “The best road” but it’s very very good.
Personally I prefer 3rd and 4th gear sweeping stuff at sort of mid revs. I’m not a huge fan of 2nd gear, point and squirt hairpins, with banzai revs in between.
So I think I prefer sections of the Black Forest and roads like the Sustenpass, which whilst they have the hairpins near the top, they also have more fast flowing parts, where you can feel the tyres and suspension working a bit more.
The Grossglockner is a “must do” road though.
Mr PG, 3rd time? That’s commitment. It’ll be great in the C2.
Henry, MrsMarky will have been on her phone in that pic, probably Googling “What time do marmots come out?”.
I’d promised there’d be loads of them. It was the only way I could get her out of bed before sunrise.
We got up there and there were none there.
They came out later though, luckily for me.

"st yea, marmots, erm. It's, errrr, too misty. Another look early tomorrow perhaps?"I’d promised there’d be loads of them. It was the only way I could get her out of bed before sunrise.

Interesting change of vehicle right there. What's the back story?
Had the 981 for nearly 6 years so fancied a change. Had a 996 turbo previously, so knew about 996's. We also then got our first dog, hence the rear seats. Couldn't stretch to a 997, so that was it. Do miss the 981, but needs must.
