With the White 'Turbo S' silly moving on to a lucky new budding driver, it was time for a family photo before the quintuple split up....

Just watched a chat between James May and Jay Leno discussing how ridiculously big and, specifically, wide cars have become.
When most roads, garages, parking spaces ………. haven’t rolleyes

Haven't we had that conversation millions of times over the years?

No - lovely narrow bodied version with a split grill. I know that's against the rules.

job jobbed, you fooled me with it, ok, I'm maybe a easy 'target' hehe

I still remember, the first time I saw such 993 by a dealer nearby (long time ago) which had one outside, a real S (2 wd) version, I looked at it and thought wow, then the owner of that dealership came outside saying, you like it, I said yes, but can't afford it, but stil nice to see it for real.

I remember following a 993 2S when I had my old 993 RS copy, it looked so comically wide in real life!

The small glasshouse really showed off the big hips, that engine cover was such a lovely touch though.

I remember there seemed to be lots that were optioned with the aero kit spoiler which lost it, a missed trick.

I’ve always missed my 993, they are the perfect classic.

from Munich, not from the UK (that would be ambitious). I managed to do London to Salzburg in c. 12 hours (would have been a lot faster had I not spent about 2-3 hours in London traffic getting out of the city on a Friday evening). I think Calais to Salzburg was 8.5 hours sitting at or close to the car's top speed for long periods of time (BMW Z3 M Coupe 15+ years ago) - I did not drive back the same weekend though.

What i like about German number plates is that they tell you where the car is from, as opposed to UK plates which only show where the car might (or might not) have originally registered.
