The configurator is on the UK site with prices in pounds, although with a limited set of options (especially cosmetic things). If you go to the New Cayenne microsite, there's a small "settings" gear icon under the video player that takes you to the Cayenne or Cayenne S configurator.

I'd say you guys should be happy that it is so cheap in the UK - base price in Germany is sth like 92k euros pre options

i'm holding out in hope that the new Cayenne hybrid will take the lead from the Panamera pricing and be priced aggressively to convert buyers and if so will buy one of the first ones available.
PS i noticed my late last night's post where i claimed to set a limit of 15% on options when i meant to say 18%. I can't take the risk of being accused of spreading miss-information on a public domain and lose what little credibility i may have earned over the years...

Porsche not passing along the FX movement is my guess

10 or so years ago it went the other way I think and people started ordering RHD cars in Germany to then take to the UK

If I wanted a Porsche, I would order at a UK OPC now (did consider ordering a LHD Gen 2 Turbo S briefly when it was launched as I suspect you could have driven it for a year + and then sold on without a loss on the continent - but as I buy cars with a view of keeping forever and did not have the funds readily available ..... no Turbos S for me)

I'd agree it's mostly down to the FX move....Porsche will only absorb this for so long and the introduction of a new model is the right time to do it from their perspective.

I also think it's probably a slight reflection of what they're expecting from the competition. I haven't looked at pricing myself but a mate of mine recently took delivery of a FFRR (well took delivery for the second time because the first one turned up with the wrong wheels and interior!)...salesman told him that they're really struggling to shift the Velar. Customers haev expressed interest etc but now they've seen the prices they're not signing order forms...the sales bloke had a customer who came in and specced a 5.0 Supercharged Velar to the same spec as his existing car....and promptly left the building when it came in over £100k !

I just tried speccing a Cayenne S up to the same spec as my Diesel S that I took delivery of in March. Somewhat embarassed to say that it's currently coming in cheaper because quite a few of the options we have aren't available yet...primarily the Sport Design Body Kit and the Rear Screens which are both expensive boxes to tick.

I also think a lot of the options don't really seem to have gone up in price...where it will start mounting up is if you want RWS, PDCC, PTV etc Although i think the only one I'd think about it RWS. Looks like you don't have to pay for painted wheel arch trims which were a must have and I'd also say LED's at £600 are worth having but are unfortunately much cheaper than they were on my car!

One thing is for sure Mrs Cheib wouldn't notice the difference if I showed her a pic of the new one. Think they've definitely underdone it....it looks more like a mid life refresh than a totally new model. I am sure it's going to be a step change once yo get behind the wheel though.

Ah...maybe they are in which case £600 is for PDLS. You can though get LED Matrix for £1200!

I don't think pics do it justice - lower and wider and with a great looking rear and slightly more modern front I think in the flesh it will look quite sharp and sporty. I'm liking it very much. I want diesel though so waiting to see what comes. My choice would be wait till SportDesign kit introduced and Diesel engines.

Re Velor - Macan beat it in Autoexpress test... and that's before Macan gets its facelift next year. Porsche at the top of the game imo.

I think 3rd gen Cayenne is very appealing

Sounds like a great idea - less wear, less brake dust - but, it's only a coating. How long does it last....?
