Having second thoughts if people are going to start shouting at me at petrol stations. Although if my 3 year old is with me, she'll shout back on my behalf smile

Just had call from porsche and I’ve got a May build slot with delivery in June. Need to tie down spec this weekend though!

Anyone at the launch night(s) see the full leather vs standard trim? Trying to talk myself into paying the extra £2.3k for full leather trim

If its the same as the old car it transforms the cabin and money well spent.

Presume you're going for black interior from the £2300? First Gen faux leather parts were pretty poor, I think thats where a lot of the hangups about partial leather come from. On the last Gen it improved significantly.

My take is you can get away with partial on the black interior. But on the beige or two tone interiors its probably best to spec full leather.

Pop into the dealer and take a look. Or ask them to send you some pictures.

Went to the OPC preview a couple of days ago, not in the market for one but can't turn down some free booze and food.

Loved the looks, much better than the outgoing model which looks far too generic IMO. Sat in the Turbo, really nice interior especially the big pano roof but then checked out the price tag... £117k including options! eek And some of those options you'd expect as standard on a £30k car, never mind a £100k one.

I might be interested in one 5-7 years down the line though, after someone has taken the mahoosive depreciation hit biggrin

Or more likely in 5-7 years you'll go for some more free food/booze and want the next one biggrin

I'm a sucker for their wicked tricks frown overnight my desire for the previous model disappears. I console myself by looking at my friends who display the same fickleness with their wives, thats even worse for the wallet biggrin

Just seen on AutoExpress that the new WV Touareg will be getting a 417bhp 4.0-litre V8 turbodiesel at the end of 2018, surely Porsche can breath on this and offer it in the new Cayenne? If so I'm off to the dealers with cash in-hand.

Anyone got theirs yet?

April has snuck up on me and just realised mine is only a few weeks away.

Mine is due either end of month or start of May. Its scheduled to start building today. There have been some delays for cars with full leather.

Mine is also last week April. OPC haven't confirmed its entered into production, but unfortunately lack of communication is not surprising frown

The battery or the Cayenne biggrin

Presuming you mean the Cayenne, in similar position. Coming from low slung coupes, to 4 door coupes. Cant stand estates, so trying an SUV for practicality. But really not sure. With the production shut down hopefully I can give it a try and get out without a massive kick in the teeth should I not take to SUV land.

Just got back from a skiing holiday in Switzerland and saw a couple of new Cayenne’s out there. Someone very kindly parked a Turbo next to my 2017 car so I had a good look at them next to each other. The most noticeable difference to my eye is the slope of the rear hatch...it’s much more like the Macan on the new car with the roof having a noticeable slope to it. Good for styling/bad for practicality and rear vision I suspect.

The rear lights have the effect of making the rear look more agreesssive/sporty and I think the way the side radiator ducts at the front are more angled also improves the front.

Lots of small subtle styling differences have really freshened the design up.....but not enough to make me want to change.

The front spoiler is different on the turbo, almost looks like its grinning smile

The backend does look much better though IMO. And the interior is a step up, which I personally didn't like from day one and hasn't got any better with age to my eyes.

As for the rest, I don't think you'd kick the old one out of bed if you like the new one. Not a massive change in design.

Didn’t that look odd side on? Especially on a black car with black wheels and white calipers.

It did. Looked a bit daft to be honest.
