991 GT3 now or later

For you to take a bath of £30k in a few months will need something very different to a new gen model coming out. It will need a macro economic melt down. Something like trump winning, or China's credit bubble exploding, or the EU disintegrating... However, expecting a gentle down drift would be sensible. Anything better is a bonus.
Oops I'm guessing, but I do think the forthcoming Gen 2 GT3 could be quite pivotal for the market.
Rumour suggests it will incorporate a lot of the 911R features, so who's going to be paying £500k for one of those? Porsche were criticised for making so few, but the next GT3 should alleviate that.
Lot depends on the GT3.2 numbers. If they are too generous with the build numbers then GT3.1 values will dive and that will compress values across the board - RSs and the 997/996 GT3 models. Might even effect GT4s, all of which could damage confidence in the 'GT' products.
However, if they build too few, we will have huge premiums and lots of 'flippers', that most people detest.
So, they'll need to get the figures just right. If this favours loyal customers, then so be it, that's the nature of many businesses. And, anyway, however good the next GT3.2 is, it will have it's brief moment in the sunlight, and then another model will eventually usurp it.
But, to answer the OP, it's a 'buyers market' and 991.1 GT3s are due for a correction (IMO)

The simple answer would be to leave production numbers open ended...or state what the minimum will be. Cheib said:

the GT4 numbers were 200 for the UK set by Porsche, that did not work out so most people who kept deposits in got a GT4 and 3x that amount came in.Either way do Porsche care what the price is after they have sold them ?
low number mean big overs see the 911r and RS 4 as examples, higher numbers mean more for sale but they did sell them so do they care ?
they are in the market to sell cars after all.
causing hype and getting deposits in was the key to good sales and it worked.

if we could only post this as the header on every single values chat, we may actually have time to talk about the quality of the cars, not the value

to be fair you stated "OPC lprice"
L being list before the price word, or a bad typo, either way what did you pay for the RS in the end ?
Difficult to say tbh because I had a px in the deal but suffice to say I reckon most opc cars are over priced by at least 15k and they are willing to listen to sensible offers.L being list before the price word, or a bad typo, either way what did you pay for the RS in the end ?

There will be a 911T (current working title) as the R successor. Rumour suggests it will incorporate a lot of the 911R features, so who's going to be paying £500k for one of those? Porsche were criticised for making so few, but the next GT3 should alleviate that.

In any case, I'd rather get myself on the list for a 991.2 GT3 than paying overs for a 991.1 car...

OPC said no chance for 991.2, my turbo was bought from indie so doesn't help. Colleagues car is black which apparently why it is at that price, I liked the fact it had comfort seats(although unpopular), but think will go to OPC they have a few now around 130. Thanks again
As a private sale I wouldn't give your pal more than 120 for it black or whatever and only then if it was very low miles. I'm guessing the dealers have got 15k plus in their cars so will deal especially at this time of year! Plus you get 2. Year warranty.Younez said:

It's only worth paying extra for a black car if you want a black car!! Otherwise it's worth LESS than the colour you want!Comfort seats definitely worth less than buckets. It is sounding more and more overpriced. £120k tops!
