Saw it too and couldn't resist it. Will be collecting it this week. Always wanted the Targa and found one though it is almost over spekd (why the carbon steering wheel and floor mats?) but couldn't be bothered to wait. I'm concerned about the wind buffeting at high speed with open top driving. The salesguy assured me that this was not a problem and even called an old client who owns one to confirm this. Subsequently seen a few youtube vids saying the wind buffeting is indeed a problem so a little concerned. Be grateful to hear if anyone has found the noise issue too much. I didnt see it as an issue . Can't say I noticed it was worse than any other convertible I've driven .
I'm guessing It must be slightly worse than others as too many people have mentioned it . But I hadn't heard these comments before or while I owned the car , and it never crossed my mind it was an issue during ownership . Loved it . Wish I'd never sold it .

Just do it. As for solo test drives don't be daft. Insurance company. Yes we gave the chap the keys to the car and he drove off on his own and never came back. Bit like when the missus said to me. I'll drive the Bugatti Veyron as long as you sit next to me. Ain't going to happen
Rubbish some dealers give the customer the car for a weekend. Find some where who will let you have a good test of the car as other have said its possible.

That's a superb looking GTS targa. Collected mine last Saturday. This is my first porsche and absolutely love it. Drives extremely well and the wind noise in the cabin is not much worse that other convertibles I've had. I suppose this needs a scientific test; a cabrio vs targa side by side.
