Yup, gone for the electric blinds on side and rear window :-), but not the double glazing. I like a few draughts, its good for you
I like the look of the Trismo, but I couldnt wait that long...I wanted a car NOW
Ah but now you can't show people and pretend its bullet proof glass I like the look of the Trismo, but I couldnt wait that long...I wanted a car NOW
Does make it nice and peaceful in traffic etc though.
On a sepearte note - the enlarged rear arm rest thing (forget what its called) is a PITA is you're going to put a child seat that swivels in. It won't.
Heated and ventilated seats I assume? Front and rear?
Heated, Ventilated and MASSAGE seats :-)
As for the kiddy seats, they are all past that stage, however, as I have 3 kids and two dogs, I feel it isnt going to be as practical as my Audi Estate I am selling.
Still, it will just mean we have to use the "bosses" car for family trips, keeping the miles off mine, or an even better idea, I follow on my own in the Porsche

Forgive me for chipping in...I have an eHybrid coming in 4 weeks (I know, I know). Managed £30k of extras. I wonder how quickly that value will tank!
Sport design pack is a must IMO, especially if you do not go black. The unpainted plastic looks crummy otherwise.
The wife fancied the rear seat entertainment, must say it looks to be a pretty awesome system!

I didn't get to £30k on my Cayenne but not that far off. We have the Rear Entertainment system, it's very good...at least my kids think so. The new PCM is also very good although even better on the new Panamera with the wide screen etc.Sport design pack is a must IMO, especially if you do not go black. Only downside of the Rear Screens is that the kids now have access to Google with the WiFi....I told my 8 year old a shop was shut a couple of weeks ago as I wanted to get home. He was straight on Google "Dad it doesn't shut for 45 mins and according to Google maps it's only a 15 minute drive"
Also agree on the unpainted plastic...we have the Sport Design Pack on the Cayenne which doesnt get you the slats on the air vents painted at the front. Wish I'd done them as would look so much better.

I also have a new 4eHybrid coming in 4 weeks and i've stuck to my strict self imposed limit of 17% on top of the list price.which includes:Sport design pack is a must IMO, especially if you do not go black. The unpainted plastic looks crummy otherwise.

A few free bits and bobs
When you hit something approaching 20% on top you start burning money imo however if you intend keeping it a long time the financial pain is lessened ..
A few "free bits and bobs"
How did you get that?
This is the first time I have bought a porsche, and the first time I have not got a discount of any sort, not even an incy wincy one, so a few "free bits and bobs" would have certainly taken a little bit off the shock of not getting anything off the price list.
i hope its going to be worth it..

I couldnt even get those !!!!
And to rub salt into the wounds, they offered me £7k LESS than "we buy any car" offered me on my car.
I suppose if your in a position when you have a product that you dont need to sell, you can get away with giving nuffink.
Took a little joy out of the purchase, I just hope its worth it.

Its arrived !!!!!
Collected it yesterday, I love it. I just now need to spend the next few weeks trying to understand all the technology.
I was a little worried that I hadnt driven a Turbo before I ordered, but I need not have. The only slight doubt I have is the colour I chose, maybe I should have gone for Grey..

Congratulations!!! looks great. any interior snaps?
Mine arrives end of June.....i went for the boring grey (volcano grey met) though.
only thing I was concerned about is the size of the Panamera, i know its the composition of the pic but heck it makes the RRS in the background look tiny i hope its just the angle of the pic!

It is pretty big, and it is larger than the RRS we have. However, it doesnt feel its size, and I went for surround view which is really good for parking and protecting those wheels !! I think without that it might get a few scratches.
I also went for the aluminium finish inside which I am really glad I did. I think the piano black finish looks supurb but makes the whole interior dull, so as I went for black leather (very practical) the aluminuim finish just breaks things up a bit, and it doesnt look "tacky" which I feared it might do.
The other good thing is google earth mapping, its brilliant, however, if you read the small print on the internet, it says this service will be finishing in December 2017. Apparantly something to do with licencing.
Here is a picture, but it doesnt do it justice. It is such a nice enviroment.

i heard this too. apparently they are replacing it with something else...not sure what...The other good thing is google earth mapping, its brilliant, however, if you read the small print on the internet, it says this service will be finishing in December 2017. did they supply a SIM with yours? my SA told me you get a "trial" EE SIM with 2GB/Month data loaded onto it for testing out the online app part of the Connect system. Assume its a 4G SIM?
On the trim I went back n forth on Piano black default or Alu, went with default figuring if i get tired of it might be able to swap it out later.
didn't go for the surround view though! damn going to have the car Gtechniq protected when it arrives and probably get a front end PPF kit on it.
