Can anyone help clear up when the facelift macan might be due. I have a GTS on order for Oct but won't take it if the face lift is due in the early part of next year. My dealer says he's spoken to Porsche and it will be 2019 before there is macan facelift in the UK and probably longer for the GTS version???

I'm in sort of same position, ready to press the button on one, I have it on good Authority that 100% 2018. I may just order a PTS colour thus extending the delivery time, so In turn if the do release the facelift I'll just move the other over to be one of the first. However th flip side of doing that would be once the order is in Lockdown... so I need to firm this issue up

I wouldn't expect a facelift Macan this year when the new Cayenne is being launched in September.

Nobody is expecting it this year, they're talking about next year.

We were told late 2018/early 2019 by our OPC last week.

Normally, a couple of years after the first 'spy shots' start appearing.

Based on Porsche's normal model cycles, a subtle 'facelift' would arrive in, at a guess, 2019MY.

Looks like Cayenne orders will commence Oct / Nov for delivery March / April 2018.

I doubt we will see physical deliveries of Gen 2 Macans until 2019.

March? That means the order books will open around November...?

Does anybody have any further news on this? Dealer seemed to be sure that there would be no physical deliveries until 2019.

Thanks

Mules have been seen in final testing but I think we are indeed looking at release towards end of 2018 and first cars coming in March 2019. Just IMO though.

On the down side the mules have not been fitted with the new style interior and its possible they will carry over the old one which may well mean we wont be buying. frown

Thanks.
Really not sure which way to go with this. I really fancy a S petrol or GTS as my daily. A year old one (ie after the PCM hardware upgrade) seem to sell for virtually brand new money from an OPC so you might as well order a new one.

But thens there's a facelift coming within about twelve months which seems pretty likely to have the new Panamera type interior. So I could see my brand new Macan suddenly looking old within 8 months of buying it!

We have had 2 and I like the interior but it does need updating. I cant understand why Porsche would not roll out the new interior but from what I read its looking that way. Perhaps not to damage residuals too much?

Might be wrong though.

We sold our first one for RRP and it sold within a day or two.

Using Porsche's established formula a 'facelift' is normally 4 years into the model's life, with a brand new model 3-4 years later.

And a 'facelift' is just that - a few subtle tweeks, upgrades and minor styling enhancements - it normally takes a very keen eye to spot the difference.

I think this will be a lot more than just a face lift as it will move over to the new MLB platform as per the new q5.

Obviously being a Porsche looks wise I don’t think anyone expects a big change but where it matters across the board it will be a material step forward as per the new cayenne.

We are just about to pick up a new petrol S. When i ordered i did press the sales guy on the facelift, he said that it would not be until end of next year at the earliest and it would just be a facelift. He also believed that the new interior would not be brought in during the facelift which kind of makes sense as its not a brand new model which is when the new interior has been introduced (Panamera and Cayenne). He also sited the fact that the new PCM with CarPlay was only introduced recently. So according to him it will stay on the same interior as 911, boxster and cayman and probably be the last to get the overhaul i would guess.

On a personal note whilst it looks brilliant i am not sure how practical the new dash is to use, interesting that Aston stuck to buttons on the vantage.

Thank you. When I picked up my car from the OPC they also seemed to be talking about 2019.

Congrats on the new car btw. How long did you have to wait?

Cheers
