I've moved up from London, and my trusted specialist down there is too far, especially for the smaller jobs - and for keeping the car mileage down. I'm looking for recommendations for the Coventry area or this side of Birmingham, based on personal experience. Please email me with pros/cons of the various choices. (It took me several bad experiences to find my London guy - don't want to repeat the learning curve!).

I dropped in there once on an earlier visit - I prefer those specialists in a unit on a trading estate to ones with, er, showroom type surroundings.

PCT are very good, real enthusiasts, there used to be a Porsche dealer attached which closed a few years ago and I think PCT have just expanded into the space, so it's not the usual case of posh premises. The lead guy there whose name I forget is very genuine and knowledgeable.

There is another specialist on the opposite side of the road from PCT who runs on his own and is good but hellishly busy, trust me, you'll easily spot which house is his smile

lived next to PCT for most of my days and I would also recommend them - steer clear of the OPC solihull in my opinion smile

@ Neil-y0jlk

I haven't been there but have heard of the busy guy. I was told that due to the busy-ness, turn-round times are long, and can run into weeks, sometimes months.

A few of my mates use Martin here and speak highly of him.
Just a unit behind his house really but has a great Porsche history.

P.C.T. are excellent and would throughly recommend them.
Martin brown knows his stuff but don't expect a quick turnaround.

You could look here if you don't want a showroom. https://www.zhporsche.co.uk/for-sale
Visited and they seem busy but never used them though.

Had my first Porsche about 10 years ago, Martin Brown and PCT did some bits and servicing over the years I had it. After a 5 year stint with Ferrari went back to Porsche and have only been back to PCT.

They picked up my Boxster Spyder to do full service plus plugs and belts from work and droped it back, they needed some fancy brake fluid and even returned the car and didn't charge me until they got brake fluid in stock and completed the service before I paid, I actually had to remind them I needed to pay for it after they dropped it back second time.

Very reasonable price (compared to my BMW main stealer as well as Ferrari) and great service.

Another vote for them from me.

Thread revival as I was googling for a Porsche specialist near me, went with PCT and they were absolutely excellent. My Boxster is running beautifully now. Great guys and reasonably priced too, which was a pleasant surprise.
