39k miles on my 997.1 S and exactly the same - if steady / easy driving it uses no oil whatsoever but driving hard results in some oil usage (maybe half a litre per 1,500-2,000 miles), whether that's twisties or covering ground quickly on the autobahn to catch a tunnel.
