Ring Vodaphone and they will disable it. They assured me that the tracker element still works for insurance purposes.

Fault developed on my car at 10 miles and the system has been disabled since September 2017 with no sign of a fix. I believe the fault is at the Porsche end but the fact they still haven't found a fix is disappointing. And of course we are still paying the premium of the non existent service. frown

After two attempts at fixing mine they just replaced all of the tracker unit and it's worked fine since. Best to get them to replace the entire system.

Mine called within minutes of leaving the dealership on collection day.

Vodafone wanted to confirm there was no problem at my end and then said they would disable the alert. It has been fine ever since.

It is a Porsche/OPC responsibility to get the system working.

Call Reading, they should know. However you may have to call around until you find someone who knows what they are doing.

As far as I am aware, there is still no ‘fix’.
Mine has had the ‘Safety Services’ part of Porsche Car Connect switched off for 5 months now.
It still shows as having best part of a year ‘free’ period - so when they fix it, you still have the same time remaining.
I was still surprised that Vodafone called me to check I was OK as I was driving round having multiple accidents where the airbags were deployed. You’d think a memo from Porsche to Vodafone would go a long way towards not making them look like they do.

Vodafone say its a Porsche problem and referred me to Porsche

Porsche say they will deactivate the alarm for the error message and once a fix is sorted that will be done

No effect on insurance confirmed
