Porsche Cayenne Platinum Edition
Discussion
Update. Went to OPC on Saturday & left with a deposit down on a new Cayenne Platinum Edition. They took the Disco 4 is as part-ex & the whole deal worked out very well. Think also,January is probably a dire month for the car trade & they seemed keen to do a deal which suited me. Collect her next week. It's to replace my wifey's Disco. If this snow carry' s on will probably replace tyres with all weather ones.

Did you go to Cardiff? What colour and spec did you go for?
No, Colchester. It's not my nearest OPC but have built a good relationship with the guys. Its one in stock - jet black metallic, pani roof, PASM, dark taillights, reversing camera - can't remember full spec (thought I had left with a spec sheet) as still in a daze We were super impressed how it drives. The one I test drove had air suspension & would have liked this as an option but at least with PASM it should be ok for our needs. Hopefully collecting next week. It will replace the Disco 4 as our workhorse to tow horse box, room for the dogs & general mundane stuff but what a nice car to do this with. I would probably want to change tyres over to all weather ones.Have an Aston V8VS manual for the fun stuff & a an old 1-series BMW as a daily.

That sounds very similar to my spec, I have a 991.2 manual as a fun car. I am glad to hear that you liked it as I have jumped in without a test drive, I get it on Thursday.
That is brave Did you come from another brand SUV?No great surprise that there was such a difference between our Disco 4 & the Cayenne. The Disco wafts you on air suspension in a floaty/boaty kinda way. The Cayenne was so much more sporty & precise. Think wifey is going to be very happy. Happy wife, happy life

It was a little bit brave but to be honest I have no reference point as I have never had a big car or any kind of SUV. The important element was that it was practical.
Anyway it arrived an hour ago and first impressions are that I really like it. It does not feel as big as I thought it would, and the interior is a nice place to be.
I will find out more in the next few days...

Great detee. Hope you get on with it really well.
We collected ours yesterday & a big thank you to Simon at Porsche Centre Colchester for a great hand over experience. I have three possibly even four OPC's which are nearer but had dealings with Simon at Colchester previously & felt it was worth the pony ride over to Colchester. They really excel in customer service.
Wifey drove it home she is very, very happy. Think we are going to really enjoy this one. I am definitely in the wifey's good books In Jet Black with tinted rear lights it looks really bad arse from behind. As you say interior is lovely & a decent sat nav at last.

Indeed it is. Great guy. Recently I collected a Vantage V8S from an AM main dealer - ok not brand new but still north of £60K & hand over was no where near the level of care & service Simon gave us this week. champ19ns said:
Been offered one at £4K / £575pm on a new Plat. edition
Won't these get hammered for depreciation over the next 2 years?
Last of the current model and base engine etc.
You can lease the new model for similar money:Won't these get hammered for depreciation over the next 2 years?

However, April 2019 delivery. And you'll probably pay the full cost of the options as its rare lease companies apply any residual to options. So far decided to stick with my April 2018 build.
