Porsche warranty and 111 point check costs for 997

Anyone know how much a 2 year warranty (without Porsche Assistance) is supposed to cost from an OPC?

Are the prices different where the car:
(a) doesn't already have a Porsche warranty (i.e. new policy);
(b) already has a Porsche warranty (i.e. renewal)?

I think the price is the same price for all 997 variants. Is that correct?

If you are taking out or renewing a Porsche warranty at the same time as having a minor (2 year, 6 year etc) or major (4 year, 8 year etc) service done, have you been charged the £217 111 point inspection fee?

Seems like there is no uniformity and OPCs do their own thing.

I’d be surprised if for the warranty there is a big variation. Quote I got recently for my 997 GTS

£1405.00 - 1 year extension including Porsche Assistance (£1236.00 without)
£2331.00 - 2 year extension including Porsche Assistance (£2056.00 without)

Those include the 111 point check

I’d go with you local OPC if they service the car.. They’re effectively the gate keeper for what can be claimed under warranty so I’d rather be having a conversation with the OPC that sold me the warranty than one that was £100 cheaper. False economy in my book.

Under "111 point check":
"The 111 point check required to take out a Porsche Approved Warranty is included in Fixed Price Servicing at £217* for all Porsche models."

I read this mean that if you have a minor or major service done, the £217 fee is not chargeable. OPC said the wording meant that the the £217 is just another line item in the price list; and is therefore still chargeable when a minor or major service is done at the same time.

PCGB customer services has confirmed that my interpretation is correct:

"Thank you for your email addressing concerns over the 111 check and Major Service that you recently had on your Porsche.

If a Porsche Centre is included in ‘Fixed Price Servicing’ then as quoted on the below link –

'The 111 point check required to take out a Porsche Approved Warranty is included in Fixed Price Servicing at £217 for all Porsche Models’

Therefore if you had this work completed at a participating Porsche Centre, then the 111 point check is not chargeable. If this work was not completed at a participating Porsche Centre, then a 111 check remains chargeable to the centres discretion."

Hmm, my OPC is saying it is chargeable with a major service, but they will discount to £180 including VAT.

Why would it says it's included at £217, shouldn't it say included without charge?

I think the question is, where is the list of OPC's that participate in the fixed price servicing scheme?

There wasn't a list on the porsche website the last time I looked and I know OPC Reading don't participate not that I would use them ever again (badly bitten as they say).

Got quoted £216 and £97 in vat for 111 check when combined with normal service from two different OPC (nr London).
