Dry and no salt i venture out. Otherwise ctek is plugged in..... keeps it special though. Like having a miss world in an upstairs bedroom and u can visit her for an hour a week with the wifes blessing!!
You'd have to visit her abroad though - isn't she banned in this country? Buggyjam said:

Well that is certainly a perfectly reasonable and understandable position. Here’s a different view.
It’s cold, temperatures hover around 5C, the roads are covered in salt, hours of daylight are limited, 612 bhp is delivered to Cup2 with only rudimentary TC and no stability systems. The car runs low to the ground and though there is a sophisticated carbon fibre undertray, it won’t prevent salt spray getting onto the inboard suspension system and other elements that are susceptible to corrosion. I like to drive this car whenever I can, it delivers more extraordinary driving sensations than any other car I own, but on my deathbed I will never wish I’d taken it out in January in UK. It may be just an inanimate object but I still respect it too much for that.

Both points perfectly reasonable but I agree January's not really the best month to enjoy these cars. Let's hope an opportunity arises next monthHere’s a different view.

Fully agree, that is why I am so annoyed that I can’t get winter tyres for the Scuderia - will investigate further for next season if it is really not possible to (legally ie TÜV compliant) get Winters for the car - what a waste. Even have a ski rack that would also fit the Scud .....The big problem for me in taking my 981 out for a spin is not the fact that I cant drive the thing, but that there are to many complete idiots out there driving, or attempting to, at this time of year.
Nearly all the roads where I live in the village are untreated and you would not believe how many tts go off the road and into the surrounding fields at this time of the year.
Of course it depends on the traffic flow in front of your house.
Due to most roads near me, the A14, A428, M11 on approach to Cambridge being turned into permanent car parks for most of the day due to all traffic coming to a grinding halt on a regular basis, only a complete idiot in my area would attempt the torture of just sitting in a Porsche going nowhere. My village has been turned into a bypass until the roads have been completed.
I just have to sit and wait for a nice day, when the roads are good, and off I go into the sun!!
I am just not prepared to have some young berk desperate to get home, or get to work slide into my second love, after the wife of course.
However, I do get out as often as I can, as the Cayman 981 is a wonderful car in oh so many ways....
happy driving to you all for the new year.
