Still one of the prettiest 911’s in a long time.
Also how low can these things go? Get the crab claw alloys PCM Sports chronicle and you’ll not lose a penny in a year of ownership.
Unless you have IMS failure or bore scoring...in which case it will cost somewhere between £6k and £10k Also how low can these things go? Get the crab claw alloys PCM Sports chronicle and you’ll not lose a penny in a year of ownership.

it was £63k and yes mats extra, Bose extra
The C2S came with about £10k of extras std over and above the non S car (such as Xenon lights)
Mine has 3 years to go until Porsche will no longer warranty it. What to do? Basalt black Full OPC service and 59k miles. Pretty basic spec. Quite a list of service advisory stuff to get done. The C2S came with about £10k of extras std over and above the non S car (such as Xenon lights)
I had a nice Black 997 C4S convertible very high spec
Black / Black / Black Manual
Chrono
PSE
Bose
Nav
Embossed seats, sports plus adaptive memory, heated
Silver lower console
19" Carerra II wheels
Tracker
Sure I've forgotten some spec too but it basically had everything they made for the car apart from PCCB and Power kit
List price was £94K in 2005(!) Kept it 4 years & traded for a Maserati Granturismo. Missed it so bought a £10k 987S as my runabout car, which is maybe 75% of the 997 for 30% of the price. The areas where the 987 lags are - any type of low traction situation like a wet road the C4S would murder the Boxster so for UK driving all year round the C4S is much much better. Sound with PSE is way way louder than the 987 even with its Carnewal mod. And obviously the power of the 997 is a reasonable step up and even more so than mu 987 2.7 before. Miss the 997. Don't miss worrying about bore scoring.

If your budget is £32 K. Why not buy one for less than £25 K ( plenty around at that price or less ) and put the balance of £7 K or so in the bank for an engine rebuild contingency fund.
That will involve a large headache though, plus there will be other large bills. It all depends on your attitude to money and accepting what is involved in owning a high performance car. I was lucky enough to get one from a good OPC. Would not be happy if I'd bought it privately but low depreciation may take the sting out of it.Gassing Station | Porsche General | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
