Similar question to the recent post regarding jackets. Looking for recommended jeans or trousers that are good in summer and offer reasonable protection too. At the moment I have knox jeans which I quite like but still get quite warm. Maybe I'm not riding fast enough!
Better/cooler alternative?
Cheers guys.

Either a single layer jean like rokker tech with armour or some vented textile would be my choice. Dainese (and no doubt others) do some textile/leather mix 2 piece leather like outfits for summer that are vented/mesh

I was wearing hood jeans for a slide down the road with d30 armour in. Hit the deck at around 40mph and the denim had holes in but the kevlar is unmarked.

Hopefully this will keep you away from Aldi or budget brands, and ensure that you buy fully lined.

Buy cheap, buy twice - or in this case, buy cheap, lose pounds of flesh when you actually need it the one time...

Just bought a pair of Bull-It cargo trousers. Fully lined and with a mesh lining. They feel rather thick but were nice and cool when out on Wednesday (23deg) so I reckon they'll do smile

I feel exactly the same about my new Bull-it skinny jeans.

I have a pair of Bull-it SR6 jeans which I have no doubt would offer decent protection but this also means they are quite heavy and thick. What are the skinny jeans like? I would like some that feel more like normal jeans but offer good protection (I know Rokker offer this)

On Bull-it jeans the liner acts as insulation which shields you from engine heat in summer

I was dubious too, they’re tight but stretchy, and having the liner feel really soft. They don’t feel heavy or restrictive, i was wearing them yesterday and wasn’t even riding. Can not recommend highly enough.

Are they really any good? They have an "everything £99" offer on their website atm.

I want something which I can wear all day without baking, which my current jeans (Sartso) are hopeless at. They're a lot warmer than regular textile kit.

I paid a lot more for mine last year. They pass and exceed the new safety tests. Watch the YouTube videos on their website to see the abuse they can take.

Thanks. Just re-read my post above, it wasn't meant to be spiky! I just wondered whether they were as good as someone of the higher-price kit.

I really want something I can wear on hot days and not have to change out of once I get off the bike, and they do have an offering which matches that.

I'm struggling to find armoured jeans that fit.

Anyone got recommendations for someone with thighs? Tried a few pairs of Richas and if they got more than couple of inches above the knee they were miles to big around the waist.

How stretchy would you say yours were OP?

Revit do some armoured jeans with stretch, and waterproof too....they were a really good fit but the leg lengths were all wrong for me
