To make a few quid. If I was offered a new one and didn’t want it I would still have taken delivery of the car too.

Putting aside my thoughts on flipping cars (wonder if the OPC has any views on it):
Why wait three + years? Is it because the new one is coming out perhaps?
Is it good for a car to be driven so little?

Just a shame that a car has been bought and not used for 3 years. It was never going to be a car that made millions so why do less than 400 miles in 3 years. A bizarre choice, hope the next owner drives and enjoys it.

So they've lost money on it.

I bet it hurt handing over the cash to pay for a 183 mile service. I hope it’s bought by someone who actually drives it.

How do? It’s a private seller (so no commission) and it’s advertised at £77k.

Pretty common to give allocations of low volume Porsches to people who don't want to drive them..Just look at the low miles on some of the GT3s and RSs for sale..There are a couple of gen2 GT3s in manual or PDK with just 140m on the odo..Its a totally daft and unfair allocation system some OPCs employ IMO.
These new GT Porsche buyers need to be vetted more carefully by OPCs as the current system is not doing Porsche's brand image any favours whatsoever. The same shenanigans goes on in the US much to the delight of McLaren, Lambo etc who are gaining new custom from some pissed disillusioned long term Porsche customers.
Going back to this Spyder where the seller has scored an own goal by speccing 18 ways.

Was in one of my local OPC's at the weekend, 991.1 RS 400 miles on the clock in 3yrs.

What's he getting for giving you that I asked, a new RS? No a Speedster, was the reply!!!

It just comes so natural and easy to OPC salesmen, they don't bat an eyelid.

Cheers.

What about this one..!
The first owner must have picked it up with a flat bed and stored it in his garage from day one..

It's ridiculous isn't it. There are a handful of uber low mileage 991.1 RS's up for sale at the moment....I am sure they've all been sold to secure an allocation of a new car.

I am at a loss on how the system works... I’m off to the continent to try to get my hands on the next gen Spyder (or GT4) as I’ve been told by several OPCs I have no chance of getting one. I want list price, and I will drive it and enjoy it, so therefore why can’t I buy one ?

17m...?!?!
So they are selling them now, to secure an allocation of a new car, which will also do 20miles in three years...? I don’t blame the individual making a profit, but the system of allocation which is staining Porsche’s reputation.

The whole system is bonkers.

I really dont understand how Porsche expect this to work in the long term.

The sooner this overs market hits the wall the better. I wonder how many self-proclaimed Porsche 'enthusiasts' stick around then!

I agree with some comments here about newish cars being sold over list. Opc are just as guilty with almost new GT4 & Spyders sold over list prices.
I had my name down at 2 opc for a GT4 for over a year did I get one no.
Despite owning loads of Porsches and using them for servicing.
I want to buy a car at !ist like posts above mentioned not all of us are in the position to pay huge over lists and frankly why should we on a newish car.
A different story on old classics paying high prices but not what we are taking about.
Think it can be annoying to genuine enthusiasts who really want a car .

At least get back to list on newish so called limited models.

I don’t really get the moaning. If anyone wants a latest shape GT car there are loads on offer. Pay a premium over list and drive it if that’s what you want to do.

Forget the list rrp price. The prices are what’s on offer on PH classified.

The only reason for not buying one is they feel hard done by in someone else making a profit on the car I’m sure.

And lots who have name down on the lists or buy them are purely because the market feels the cars are worth a bit more and it’s an easy ££
