Approximately 2 weeks ago there were 8 cars for sale that quickly seemed to drop to five, then four. I was really surprised then two more were listed now we are back to four. I just wonder what brought about such a flurry of buying activity. I am one of the purchasers and very pleased am I. As soon as I am able I will post my first impressions of it in comparison to my Gen2 GT3. Not that I profess to be an expert though we do drive our GT cars

2018 no one was buying.

2019 every one has got board to death with Brexit, sales seem strong, why have money in the bank when you can have an RS on the drive :-)

Nobody was buying in 2018 because the prices were stupid. Most of the Gen2 RS didn't arrive until April/May/June and people tried to flip them at £250k + just as the market went flat.

Once the prices started with a £1...... later in the year a few started selling.

I guess a £70k price drop helps ;-) but the markets picking up overall imo.

Presumably if a pick up in the market per se (rather than a massive price drop) was driving this we wouldn't have seen such big price drops!

No confirmation of a 2nd run will also now drive prices back up.

the car had to find it's level to sell, has nothing to do with the rest of the market.

on day 1 the 1st RS was up at £325k no one would pay it, and so the cars find a level what people will pay.

GT4's were £110k on day 1, 991.1 RS were £275k

these metal prices last a month or so.

As of yesterday the 24th we are now down to three; by my reckoning that must be at the very least 5 sold in the last couple of weeks. Could it be that the rumour of a second batch is becoming more and more unlikely?

Big factor I think and also even if it has Weissach it’ll have GPF and for most of us how a car sounds is much more important than if it’s got magnesium wheels and a titanium cage. I had a GPF’d Boxster loan car a couple of weeks ago, same spec as my wife’s 67 plate....noticeably quieter.

This. I kept dropping the price of my GT3 until it sold. Once it reached a certain level, punters were literally queuing up (£6k overs). There appears to be fewer GT3s also, prices may well rise.

Agreed. ie it's not because in "2019 every one has got board to death with Brexit, sales seem strong, why have money in the bank when you can have an RS on the drive :-)". Rather, (and leaving Brexit totally out of it), the market wouldn't support the valuations that people were putting on cars.

Or maybe everyone thought that all along and I've been trolled.

How are you getting along with the lizard Rob? Have you any tour plans this year?

Must say, the car looks fantastic and I'm glad to see you properly using it too!

Kul I'm embarassed to say that we have only done a one hundred mile trip so far and that was to Topaz Bristol who fitted the stick on front number plate and put PORSCHE on the back wing. They take so very much care as there was no way I would attempt doing it. Obviously we love the thing as do people on the trip with all the waving and flashing of lights. Too early to give any real impressions over our GT3 other than to say that the big understeer moment exiting a roundabout was enlightening to say the very least. It was a very cold day!smokin

I wondered if that was your car as not many with steel brakes! My son loved it (we were parked next to you).

Were you the home side or playing away?

Pricing has gone from the U.K. configurator for the RS. Not sure when that happened? Lining up for a post-brexit price hike? Or maybe just updating?
