Hi Chaps

Interested to know who is attending this event in August?

I’ve followed the concept closely as a big part of air cooled 911 ownership for me is the meet ups and the cool set of people that own these cars.

I’m doing the full weekend - track day, cinema eve and full day event on Sunday.

Would love to know who will be joining me on track? I’ll be in my 993 C2 Coupe. My only other track day experience is a PCGB track day at Snetterton last year so I am hoping I’m not eaten alive by RSRs and the like!

I'm booked to do the full weekend as well, although not sure I'd class myself as one of the cool set!

I'll be in my recently purchased RSR replica, based on a 1984 3.2.

Yes, that's the one. I've been watching it since the summer and the price has come down progressively.

Mechanically it drives really well. The engine is very smooth and there are no oil leaks at all. The 915 gearbox has been rebuilt and fitted with a Wevo shifter so it's a nice change.

Cosmetically, the repaint is so-so and there are a couple of patches of rust to fix at some point in the future. But this works well for me, a mechanically sorted car that has been looked after and had money spent but is not so nice that I'm afraid to use it.

I haven't collected it yet, will probably do so next month. Looking forward to it though!

Hopefully a version for us kettle owners will be organised soon - there's always a lot of water cooled cars in Autofarm when I'm down there exercising a credit card
