I'm thinking of buying a new Macan. Has anyone successfully achieved discounts or 'dealer contributions'? Thanks

Give Chris Dawson a call at OPC Portsmouth. Am sure he can sort you with something....

Tell him Charles with the Silver Cayenne gave you his name

Takes a little perseverance: https://quotes.carwow.co.uk/car_configuration/choo...

...although there seems to be an issue with their website as you click through from here?

The simple answer is yes......well probably.

I managed to get about £1200.00 off a lightly optioned base Cayman in 2015 from Silverstone.

I literally said 'to save me having to speak to half a dozen other centres and see what they give me, can you just offer me something'.

I signed the order contract 10 mins later!!

I’ve seen OPC’s advertising Macan’s via Instagram with £7k worth of tech equipment extras “free”...definitely discounts to be had.

Times are really tough out there.. keep an eye on stock cars they have a the moment. NOTHING is shifting. Definitely discounts to be had. Not on GT models, probably too soon for 911 as you will always have ppl too keen to get one at the beginning.. but discounts do happen.

I was offered 18way seats on cars before, and negotiated down used cars prices sharply.

I think if the economy keeps heading for a slowdown you can expect more of this.

On a second hand car at £60k most OPCs seem “unable” to offer anything more than £1500. On new there will be a lot more they can do.

Back in December i got a 991.2 GTS reduced from £103,995 to £100,000. At the beginning of the month they only offer £500 off then around the 19th i asked them if i bought the car before the end of the year would they take £100,000, they agreed. You have nothing to loose buy asking just offer something reasonably sensible. Good luck

That’s probably true given profit margins post prep and allocation of fixed costs etc. If you take finance and catch them at quarter end maybe more as they have performance hurdles to reach both for Porsche GB and also if they’re part of one of the big franchise.

Am in the market for a Macan Turbo some time in the coming weeks. No immediate urgency.

There seem to be quite a lot of stock cars available, and I was previously told by the only OPC I spoke with that I'd get an un-repeatedly good deal on one if I took delivery before the end of last year. However I'm not in that much of a hurry and am still deciding whether to go stock or to spec one.

Before I start calling around dealers can anyone tell me what kind of deal I'm likely to get for a stock car and for something I spec myself?

Also I assume the best time to be calling is at the end of the month or end of the quarter?

Thanks everyone. Really appreciate it.

I got a discount on a factory order 718 Cayman from my local OPC, Colchester. I'd never bought anything from 'em before, so no existing relationship as such. I had no trade in and took their finance. In advance, I wrote down exactly what I wanted spec wise and in terms of the number; I factored in an optimistic 10% discount. Walked in at 5pm on the last Monday of the month; gave my scribbled "deal" to the Sales Exec (who had lent me a couple of cars) and said I'm ready to buy the car now. Initially he dimissed the offer, but he took it to the Sales Manager and eventualy we settled on just under 8%. Previously they said no more than 2%.

Not saying I'm a brilliant negotiator. Likely more lucky timing, but if you don't ask.

Took delivery of Cayenne last week of Dec - OPC east london - but i also visited colchester, hatfield.
All had loads of stock on forecourt, literally awash with pre-regs.
Times are bad, 992 were going for £12k discount, but i only manage to haggle about £6000 off mine plus some freebies. Others got a lot more if you browse the forum Dec entries.
