Spotted on Sunday at the Kempinski hotel here in St. Moritz

I'm also seeing quite a few of Ionity's 350kW chargers in Switzerland and when travelling.

I've got one coming next Spring..As much as i hate to admit it its the only new Porsche(my new RS apart) that i'm excited about..All other recently launched petrol Porsches seem to be hobbled by the new stringent WLTP rules..I must be getting really old before my time or am i developing an environmental conscious state of mind..!

I feel very much the same...probably apart from a 718 Spyder there’s nothing in the current line up that I want...I think the previous cars are better mostly because of the engines,

Interesting vid (if you’re a bit of a nerd) about how the Taycan differs in some of it’s tech from the Tesla and the impact it has on the range. One interesting nugget which I hadn’t seen elsewhere is that Porsche keep a buffer in the battery so you can never charge it to 100%....it does have an efficiency benefit but also preserves the life of the battery so that there is less chance of a warranty claim on the battery....Tesla lets you charge 100% an an option when you want max range.

This is no different than our 2014 Cayenne 4e hybrid..It always leaves about 15% juice in the battery and will only charge to a similar amount left empty..Its to preserve the lifetime of the battery and to prevent thermal runaway which some Teslas have suffered from with well publicised results.
It must work as our 5+ year old 45k miler is as efficient now as when it was new.

Notihing beats real world evidence...I suppose what that shows is the integrity Porsche is building the car with rather than looking for headline numbers. What was interesting in the vid is that Porsche have designed the car to have identical pedal feel all of the time which apparently the Tesla doesn’t....i would hate that !

If my Porsche Hybrids had been in any way troublesome in the hybrid dept i wouldn't have been so confident in ordering a Taycan Turbo..

Great video, I always enjoy his content. Although I struggle with it sometimes.

I found it interesting that he preferred the more libertarian Tesla strategy of letting the driver decide on battery usage. I wonder if that was partly a cultural bias.
