I have chance to but a low mileage 991 GT2RS for 325k. I'm wondering if I should jump at the opportunity or if they still have further to go now we're coming into winter. I have a manual .2GT3 and PDK .2GT3 and one of those would have to go into the deal which makes decision even harder. any advice very much appreciated

If you but it without being noticed you may get a discount due to the dent!!!!

I think they will drop further as most other cars will - how far is anybody’s guess
I would do the trade if you can afford it - keep the manual 3 and get the 2, sounds like a great garage to me

Buy a F12 TDF

Or if you have that sort of money get a Manthey tuned GT3 RS and go and do 50 ring laps.

isn't that still £100k over list ? 488 Pista will be going for close to list very soon if not already, don't see why anyone would pay a premium in today's climate, sorry.

nothing wrong in paying a premium, it's cost to own not cost to buy.

you can buy a 600LT for £250k new and now they are £169k !!!!

you can buy a GT2 RS and it won't loose £80k like the 600lt has done.

if I did any sort of serious track work ie more than 5 days then the GT3 RS is king even at £200k

you can buy a bogo Merc and loose more money in 2 years over what a GT3 RS will drop by !

So paying overs is ok for the people who cannot get GT cars from their dealers. yes it sucks but cheaper than buying a new 488, any Macca or Lambo.

They have a fair way to fall yet,i am looking but the over asks are just stupid,i bid 300 on a del miles car,the car is still sat there and it aint going to sell at 400! ,they were around 260 with good spec, some have no cages and comfy seats.

Two new for sale in hongkong at 270 or less, advertised with other uk cars,so it dont look good on the same page.
Its also about the buying at the right price not just running costs, epic cars, shame they dont look better at the front with the flared nostrils.

Earl bamburg just received his nice present from porsche a red gt2 sat in the giltrap showroom, looks really good.

JWW just did a video comparing GT2 RS vs GT3 RS vs GT3. Not sure how many others will have driven all 3 back-to-back: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wL7Fkc7h5fY

Seems the 2 RS is very similar dynamically to the 3 RS, but with the added straight line punch (and less noise).

not to mention he did not like it as a road car in the vid before that !! "inaccessible performance"

needed though ? fun for a go, fun In the long run ?

I have been in a GT2 RS at Silverstone and while it's a mega thing, I must say for tracking the 991.2 GT3 RS is hard to beat.

they are £700k-1m and probably the most over priced ferrari you can buy

you'd be far better going for a 458 spec

Think I agree there , although yes I have a .2 3 RS , finally on Cup 2 tyres last time out at the PCGB event at SS , on the new surface the grip was impressive and the car ran well . Again on track with a GT2 RS ( which changed its tyres so maybe more track tyres not sure ) , we seemed to run a few seconds faster over a lap but the 2 on the Hanger pulled away only a small amount , maybe 10-15 yards , as exit speed onto the straight in the 3 may have been higher . When Yellow was in the car even on Dunlop's the same was the case with 3 or 4 GT2 RS's on track .
Running with a mate in a Pista , again he pulled away on the hanger ( a bit more than the 2 ) but again could catch him again , it was better on turning in and 3 RS better on exit . After about 15 laps in two sessions running together , we were very similar lap wise on same tyres . Both are occasional club racers .... so possibly running at 8 /10ths of the cars real pace ...... but feels the GT3 RS is still the nicest drive as the Pista was really brutal but not as balanced ... anyway just some thoughts

Whatever your choice OP personally I would keep the Manual GT3 and run either a GT3 RS or GT2 RS alongside it.

I think £325 k is about right in terms of current market, I wouldn’t describe it as cheap. I think you would be able to buy one for less than £300k over winter...market is not great at the moment.
