Hi All, I’ve just put a deposit on an April 2016 registered Cayman GTS.. I guess it’s one of the last made - anyone know when they stopped making them?

I got mine in late April 2016, so the final UK batch may have been around that time. I believe a few GT4s came to the UK after then and before the August shutdown, but I don't know if any more GTSs were delivered.

Enjoy the car smile

Thanks, it’s X73 and PTV which were must haves for me - coming from a GT4 and having had a 981 CS I wanted something with the 3.4 but a little more focused chassis wise than a PASM CS equipped car. Getting delivered on Thursday, can’t wait!

Why did you get rid of the GT4?

Fancied a 991.1 GT3, which I still have.
Possibly a mistake to sell the GT4 though I always preferred the CS as a road car.

Hope so!
It was registered on 29/4/16 - anyone know of a later car or the official production dates

The one I had was first registered in June 2016, though it was a stock car and probably left the factory in April or May.

Those two, plus my car, tie in with my theory of a final batch built in late March/early April 2016. My car had a production date in the first week of April and I collected it at the end of the month.

I have just bought one too. It’s a late 14 car with one owner and only 2000 miles!
Great spec inc manual box and PTV, should collect it in a week or so.

Congrats and that’s a real find with so few miles - mine is at 8k miles which I thought was good!
I have other manual sporty cars, but if I didn’t I definitely would have waited for a manual as the press loved them. Have you seen the auto car test with the F type on YouTube - Steve S loves it in Manual guise

Interesting re dates, I’ll find out when it was built. According to the OPC I’m buying from, it was originally a demo for Leeds OPC - seems odd such a late registered car was a demo...

At that time a lot of Cayman production was switched to GT4s to satisfy demand and demand for other models was low, especially as a new model was due (the 718, although full details and the fact it was an F4T had only just been confirmed).

That's why there were a few stock and demo cars produced at the end of production.
