There's plenty of cars that accelerate quickly on paper but what's made you raise your eyebrows the highest with that 'f*ck me!' response? What's been the car you've owned that you know if you do a third gear pull your passenger will 100% shut up yapping about how their day at work was!?

I'm thinking most responses will be high torque, lightweight turbo cars. I went in a 750hp viper and was left 'meh'. Yet a 500hp evo will get me everytime!

720s. Not a single passenger has maintained conversation when the loud pedal is pressed.

no question, it was an AJP engined Cerbera.

had a R35 GTR, Caterham and a F Type V8 and none close to the feeling of raw speed

1992 nissan pulsar gtir running over 400hp, short ratio box and stripped out. I physically couldn't lean forward in the seat. Caught a quick gasp of breath Inbetween gear changes

The feeling has stuck with me for the last 15 years and I've been in some quick cars since nothing has replicated the same force

Cerbera for speed and acceleration but for perceived "crikey this feels quick", a Westfield. Being 4" off the ground and looking up at lorry tyres makes any speed seem quick. Felt more exposed than riding motorbikes.

A good friend took me out in his Cobra replica that has a 6.2 Supercharged Edelbrock engine... Around 550bhp in a small, light, open top car...

That thing was ballistic.

My just registered and tuned ST205 Homologation back when most company cars would take 5 days to hit 100mph, everyone incl my little and very proper mum yelled ‘fk me’

after that it was my friends EVO VI Extreme with a RS450 engine mod, you spent more time changing gears than actually using any gear ...

Now it’s my Tesla

When I drove a Formula student car about 10 years ago. First time I put my foot down in that i could not lift my head off the seat. Those things are close to 2s to 60.

600hp Evo. Without doubt as an overall package, the quickest thing I’ve been in. Mid corner applying 2.4 bar of boost kicks like nothing else.

Overall sensation of speed goes to an R1 when they were released, that thing was mental quick.

Oddly...I remember a Lexus Soarer Turbo (Jap Import) feeling pretty fast!

No car comes close to the feeling of a fast bike though. In terms of 0-60 the very fastest cars can be close but the noise/wind/exposure makes the bike feel faster for sure.
