I dont travel on the undergound. Thank god. Is a good programme .fasinating all the technology they have.
I dont use an oyster so i dont quite understand how you can have say a zone 1 and 2 ticket and go through zone 3.would the ticket machine not beep and refuse to let you through?
I think i am being a bit thick .what are the main ruses people are using here to defraud zonewise rather than using freedom pass or kids pass etc.

She probably stands in front of them, in an effort to “force” them to face her, listen to her questions, and come up with a reply.
No one should be dumb enough to put their hand(s) on someone with the authority to question them, particularly a female, I believe that’s viewed as assault.

my debit card is linked to my oyster account, i just use my apple face id, tap my iphone on the barrier and walk through, as long as i don’t go outside of the oyster zone (past orpington) i am fine.

if you have a paper ticket and it is a zonal based ticket then yes a zone 2 ticket won’t let you through a zone 3 barrier.

these tickets however are now so expensive that nobody uses them apart from tourists, i stopped using the paper tickets around ten years ago.
