So far no "want" when looking at the spy shots. Maybe the RS will do the trick - let's see
That’s a pretty big club I think amongst current GT owners I think. Maybe we’ll all be made to look foolish but maybe not.Apart from the obvious about the new cars I also think the fact the new cars have the same body with means the GT cars (and the Turbo) have lost some of their visual presence. I saw a Turbo S last week parked next to a Carrera S....front on it was indistinguishable. I know 996 and 997 GT3’s were narrow body but feels like a retrograde step.
The OPCs flippers will be salivating at the prospect of picking up the latest 992GT3 to keep for a few weeks and sell for a quick profit..I see nothing about the latest ones to entice me out of my RS..Porsche need a new design language IMO, just look what Ferrari have achieved with the new Roma, makes the 992 look cheap and already outdated..
Having said all that i find the 992TTS Coupe extremely attractive and the only 992 i'd really like to own..

Some of the interior materials in the 992 are really cheap IMHO...the grey textured plastic trim some of them has doesn’t;t belong in a £100k car.
All of the recent new model Porsches have been cheapened by PAG's bean counters to help pay for 'dieselgate'..This is not just lowering build quality on what you can see but more worryingly underneath the outer skin...Having driven a few of the latest Ferraris and having a Roma test drive at the Salon Prive on the 25th really highlights Porsche's penny pinching IMO..I'm really disillusioned by Porsche right now which is the main driver for switching my allegiance to Ferrari..Porsches are no longer special and have turned themselves into another German maker of mass produced cars..Corporate greed at its very finest..!

Dreadful looking gt car, looks like it’s been designed using lego!
Hopefully it doesn’t actually look that bad when launched.
I agree - it does literally nothing positive visually for me - as you say, I hope in the metal it will be different as it’s gripping in those images. Hopefully it doesn’t actually look that bad when launched.

Believe it when I see it........They’re coming in stock next month....have ordered a set with the the sensors and the box : ) They aren’t N rated though so if I wasn’t going to have PS4S on my OEM wheels couldn’t have them as warranty extension wouldn’t be possible.

yes but you will be the one with the last laugh having tyres which look as new on the way home.
over having to buy a set every 1/2 day like some do as spending money = fun some how and "tyres are cheap"
win win the 2.5 cup 2 connect imo. faster, safer and more track days from a set.
I'm not sure that I understand the benefit of this technology? I start off at 1.8bar left hand and 1.85 bar right hand (Clockwise circuit). After 2 laps the tyres are up. I'll do another 2 laps and come in and check them. They almost never need bleeding off. Once they are up, I leave them like that all day. I never do more than 5 lap sessions. After my last session, I leave them for an hour while i mince about packing things up etc. Then I pump them up to road pressure and go home. Tyre management is not a difficult or dark science over having to buy a set every 1/2 day like some do as spending money = fun some how and "tyres are cheap"

What would I do differently using this technology?
To bring things back on topic... It looks like the team responsible for the rear of the car had a collective migraine when they designed it.

the advantage for every one is setting different left and right PSI's over guessing. Unlike BMW which give you quite a lot of Data in the computer. Porsche data is just PSI. So it's one less thing to worry about and also the cup2 connect is said to be abetter tyre than the normal cup.
26 psi is a bit low imo to go out on, It's put too much movement though the tyre and NOT recommend by Michelin.
I guess OK if not pushing, hence why I drop them a bit on arrival do 2 siteing laps just to see if the tracks the same layout, or if a big curbs been put in any where etc etc, then do a bleed down, then do 3 faster laps and a 2nd bleed down.
I don't want to damage the framework of the tire running too low too early as you cannot see the damage.
Michelin are being quite strict atm about how to use their tyres as people are miss using them or using them out of their guidelines.
