Is the back supposed to be half black on the bumpers.
The configurator is having some sort of brain fart when you add surround cameras. It started a couple of days ago.

It also shows roof rails despite the fact they aren't selected.

No that’s a glitch with the Porsche configurator! I had the same thing with my build, also it won’t change the door handle colour #firstworldproblems

So can you spec a pan roof without bars? What about bars without pan roof?

AFAIK bars come standard when you spec pan roof.

Well that's odd, they still show as a cost option either black or silver.

The pan roof doesn't say they are included but the picture suggests they are.

Something else to double check. If they are included I don't want them silver, so no doubt that'll be another £400 to change the colour.

Yes, they seem to get added when you spec the glass roof, but are definitely listed separately and, it seems, can be de-selected without removing the pano roof from the configuration.

I have pan roof no rails on my spec, I've emailled the OPC to confirm but have just got an out of office reply.

No rush, I'll likely not have to nail down my spec till September anyhow.

Just placed this order as a company car, this is the code:

Wondered if there’s anything essential missing, trying not to go mad with the options as it’s not my car.

Thanks

If you're budget limited you just have to make a call as to what's important to you. The reality is all the extra stuff is just stuff.

You can get pano without the rails. Rails are extra £400. So much confusion abounds on these complex specs! Charging options remain muddy too!

I too dislike all the 20" wheels but really dont want 21" despite their far better aesthetics - the range must come first and they are overpriced. Seriously thinking of getting Mission E look in 20" aftermarket by Vossen (OEM...) and sticking with the bog std Mondeo style 19" - they look out of place but would do as winters.

Having been in a CT yesterday you cant see the front end so am adding Surround camera - will help missus with a Rapide size 5 meter car...

I'll wrap the grey splitters and skirts maybe as wont pay so much more for a colour swop - thieves! Will help protect them too.

Some pics from yesterday - it looks great...

Does look nice in white! I am really torn on the colour, will hopefully be ordering one soon and have no idea what colour to go for.

Do you know if roof rails are possible without pan roof? I am not a big fan of glass roofs, or the price of them! I prefer to feel more enclosed

Agreed , white with the pano roof looks great . Tempted ....
I'd go more sober interior though - black and grey ?

I'm really looking forward to seeing one of these in the flesh, it will help confirm some of the items I've chosen.

Same. Although I suspect the first time I see one will be when I pick it up next month

Anyone whose car is not already in build may be in the same position as me. OPC called to say 2021 build is finishing and 2022 starts September. My car not arriving until October now.

IIRC your spec was locked over a month ago which would indicate that build was imminent. Last time i spoke to my OPC sales guy he did mention a possible significant delay on mine despite it being 'locked'
Buying new cars has become a nightmare recently which explains the high prices on used ones..

Apparently, a lot of the 2021 build orders have been 'cancelled' by factory and reinstated as 2022 spec orders. No idea exactly why, but as you say, everything is screwed up right now.

On a related note, our business ordered two Land Rover Discovery Sport PHEVs in March. There was a bout 3 weeks between locking down specs IIRC. One was with us by may but the other is due July... Pretty certain, in that case, that LR will allocate scarce components - chips etc. - to higher value Ranger Rovers first. Makes commercial sense.

No mate you HAVE to have pan roof for roof rails. Demo had a cracked roof as had had something dropped on it - that's a worry... It's also a hefty amount of extra kg in the worst place that will add load to air con. The double bubble roof is very nice... Might wrap black... So I'm seriously thinking of getting some kind of custom fabric bag made to place between the kids in the back to hold their junk as boot will be full of dogs - hence speccing pano for the roof rails and planning for a godawful 15% range zapping £1000 top box faff... Don't drop it on the roof... {actually I think I just made my decision...}

Hey all. Had a great drive in Swindon’s CT 4S on Friday/Saturday. I learned a few interesting things from the test drive. You can fit two Labradors in the boot, Bose is a bit disappointing compared to the 992 version. You don’t need double glazing as the car is very quiet without, the passenger screen turns off if there isn’t a passenger in the seat, (making it next to useless for me) and DO NOT SPEC PSP+ unless you hate driving and just want easier light steering for the car park. PSP+ ruins 911s and so it seems the same can be said for Taycan!

How did they find it jumping in and out? Easy enough or is it a big step that an older dog will need hauling onto?
