Bit of an odd question but my decision could hang on this.

Can you get 2 sets of golf clubs in a 911, with 2 up in the car?

What model 911? New 996?

In my experience of air cooled ones (964/993 etc), you would get some clubs in the rear seats, but I doubt you would get any in the front boot.

As for '2 up', you may get 1 up and 1 set of clubs (poss 2) but 2 up and 2 sets of clubs is Cayenne territory as far as I can see.

Thanks

Thinking about a 993 model.

Can 2 bags sit on top of each other across the back seats?

Don't do it. You'll end up tearing/scuffing the leather. Go to the Golf Club in your runaround.

You could get 2 bags on top of each other in the back, I'm pretty sure of that. They may be awkward getting in and out though.

The amount of room in front boot depends on whether C4/C2 (C4s have less) and size of tank, ie smaller fuel tank in a C2 is better bet. Even then, the rake of the boot lid makes it very shallow at the front and not sure it is deep enough for a bag. I also think it would be slightly too narrow to get one crossways.

Ditch the passenger and there'll be plenty of room if you recline the seat a bit Maybe you could squeeze them in the back - legless dwarves only need apply

I get 2 golf bags in the back.
Ive also managed with a little difficulty to get a golf bag at an angle in the front (without the woods).
Easier to keep the trolley in the front.

Henry - Probably Prestige and Performance in Uxbridge

Henry is quite a character according to a couple of PH regulars. If you throw a few golf bags into one of his 911s and generally annoy him then Scottster is unlikely to mind tho'

I've heard a few things too. I'll just be going there as a pure tyre kicker to look at a few and get measurements I know he has 911, 993, 996 models all close at hand to check over.

Unless anyone can recommend another Porsche place, not franchised main dealers though (I'd rather chew my own foot off than have a conversation with one of them) that has a good range.

Paragon maybe?

Several of us have used Camtune in Godalming. Bought mine there and pleased with them- no patronising or sales bullshit

you'll get 2 in no problem - I used to have one and bought a decent flight cover that I put my bag in to avoid mud and minimise scratches to leather - a bit of a pain but works well - mini trolleys (the double folders)fit in the front boot

Wow! what a nice mellow bunch we have all become on the Porsche forum.
I read the first few posts and was I the only one thinking....."Who cares about golf clubs,it's a 911 for christ sake".
maybe it is because I don't play golf, but 9-18 holes whatever I am sure more fun could be had actually driving the car? tell me I am wrong?

It's ok I am calm now.....
