Not wishing to bash Henry but he must make a fortune from cars like these bouncing in and out of his compound with several k across every deal.

I'm sure even this time around the advert is more or less a cut and paste job from last time. Obviously it would be but funny nevertheless.

Seems some well known cars ought to be able to change hands on forums like these by word of mouth each time making both parties a few k better off perhaps.

We need a crossing exchange here, PHX we should call it for off-exchange crosses lol.

Rear dampers refurbed less than 12 months ago by Bilstein UK. If I hadn't sorted the Ohlins suspension on my Manthey Mk 1 GT3 over the past two months (and had it detailed) I'd have no qualms about buying the GT2 back. It's the sweetest handling 996 GT2 I've driven.

In the words of Tom (from Lock Stock and Two smoking barrels) not 911V ! !)

"It's a deal, it's a steal, in fact it's sale of the f*cking century"In fact Nick, I think I'll f*cking keep it "

They rebuilt mine too but that wasn't the end of the story, delaminating rubbers were causing the action of the suspension especially at the back to be too uncontrolled. But i guess your man would have replaced all that needed replacing while the dampers were off. Who did the work?

Chris at CG did mine and I'd recommend him without reservation.

Bargain.
Mine is up on the miles and drives like a dream.
Probably better than the these low milers that have stood in a garage all their life.
Miles means nothing if its a weekend hoon, i've done a 1000 miles in a year which is criminal i know.

I probably should have tried it in the classifieds first, but I guessed 40k cars don't move well privately. Perhaps I underestimated the value of it being such a well known car.

It will be a good buy for its next owner I think. I'm likely to replace it with something NA, as I'm not sure turbocharged 911s are for me

If Henry made a fortune surely he'd be sitting on a yacht in the Riviera monitoring his operations from an iPad via his own companies security cameras, whilst sipping a Vespa and fishing for shark meat?

Interesting this thread I started is alive and kicking after 5 years. In that time I've sold my GT2, bought it back and sold it again. Looking at the classifieds, the same cars seem to have been for sale for many weeks now. Are people asking too much? Lack of sales would suggest they are. All but one are priced higher than I sold mine for a couple of years ago. Finding myself tempted again. I'd have to buy a different one this time though. Maybe that black one at 911 Virgin...
