Has anyone seen any projected prices for the Cayenne? Couldn't find any on the Porsche page or any of the motoring press.

i suppose it will be around the new Range Rover price level , maybe with a premium on top of that.

Because they can. Wouldn't you?
Premium brand. Premium price.

Remains to be seen if it will be any good, though.

And I don't understand why you'd want one. Surely if you want something you can pull a horsebox with across a muddy field you want something you don't care about particularly - rather than your premium brand P+J. I don't understand RangeRovers either for that matter.

Luxury 4WDs. Whats that about then?

For the same money you could get something that goes well.....

Can't see it myself, I'd have thought most of their customers would take a Range Rover to go with the 911. I wonder if it will degrade the whole Porsche type thing?

have you seen pictures of it? god it's ugly. looks like a boxster that had an air line stuck up its arse then beaten with an ugly stick.

Probably sell well in the states though. As long as it doesn't take Porsches attention away from producing proper cars, the extra revenue will be good

Has Porsche lost the plot? Whats going on? The new 997 that doesn't look like a carrera, V8's instead of the famous flat 6, off roaders etc. What next? Perhaps a people carrier. It looks like Porsche will stop at nothing to expand into America at the expense of all else.

I'm going to buy the very best 993 turbo I can find in the summer. I think people will look back on these cars in years to come as the best, and sadly the last, from a great era.
