Yes it does. If you can call them that. They really are a bit vestigial. More of an "emergency" seat or a small child's seat really.

Handy if you need to get a third person across town/to the pub/up the shops but no good for a journey.

I prefer the two seat format of the Boxster but if the need for such an emergency seat becomes too pressing I might consider a 996 soft-top...

If you need a real 4 seat cabrio you'd probably be better off with an M3 Convertible or something.

What - hang on, I'm borrowing an '89 Carera Cab for LM and there is 3 biggish lads travelling in it - does this sound like madness - we were going to take a Grif and an Elise but decided to economise and just take 1 car instead - I'm now worried, please tell me it will be OK!

I used to have a 88 targa, had 4 blokes in it once but was pretty tight, ie front seats very far forward and people in back with very little leg room sat bolt upright. Its doable but not comfy. Take the griff and elise, i've had both of those & think they will be great for that trip. get some good aa cover for the griff (just in case)

3 Up in an 89 Carrera Cab from Blighty to Le Mans might be a nightmare for one of you...

We were three up in my 87 Cab last year travelling into the race from an hour away - when we hit the usual traffic one of us was more than happy to get out and walk.....

This is how I remember my wunnerful old 1970s 911 - and that was a coupe - loads more room than the cabrio...err well perhaps not "loads"!!

while we're on this, is the 993 cab 'bigger' in the back that the previous models.

Alternatively anyone know if the Carrera 4S (993) is bigger in the back given it has the wider turbo body?

You can order the car with rear seat delete, so some cars don't have them.

I doubt the 4S has a bigger rear; the rear is the same size in my 996TT and my 996Cab.
