I'm interested in getting some RUF 19inch wheels for my 911, (along with a few other RUF mods from the factory). How easy is it to get tyres for them. Can't imagine they're that popular at the local Kwikfit!

Try www.tyres-online.co.uk/ for info on tyre specs and production differences between manufacturers - to purchase and have them fitted try and find a good alignment shop - not that easy - but once found cherish......

Nick.
Another place to try is Micheldever Tyres, Micheldever Station, Hampshire.
If you're local they'll supply almost anything, fit it, balance and computer align etc at reasonable cost.

I have heard they'll ship tyres mail order..but I haven't tried this...

They were by FAR the least expensive place to get an all round set of 18" P Zero Asimetricos for my Boxster.

google will find you the site nice and quickly..

Be careful with Micheldever.

They did a lousy job of balancing and aligning re my Lotus Carlton once.

You'd think they'd take more care with a type of car that has done 187mph on a straight bit of road.

They are extremely cheap, though.

Two others to try are: Headley Tyres and Wheatley Tyres (again, google searches may be productive). These places are just as cheap and customer care *may* be better.

Best bet is to buy tyres mail order from micheldever, then get them fitted at your local trustworthy balancing/alignment place. Remember, no 15 minute alignment is worth it. Go for a four wheel job with a specialist once a year - crappy aligments do more harm than good (I had 6 mil toe out after Micheldever... asked them to set it to 1 mm toe IN).
