Anybody know of a rolling road facility in or around London, preferably with Porsche experience. I have tried AMD but they won't entertain anyone unless you're booked up for some mods.

Also looking to return the interior of my car back to new. Any suggestions, again in the south if possible.

Next is suspension and wheels. Looking for original Porsche turbo 2 split rims, not sure of their name and some one to set up my car to my specs.

Please give me excuses to spend some more money...

UV, have you looked in '911 & Porsche World' yet? You probably have, but if not there are loads of adverts for just about everything to do with Porsche.

I've been told that Southbound Motor Trimmers, Stockbridge, Hants (01264 810080) do a lot of Porsche work. Ask for David Nunn - he would certainly be able to give you the info you need.

Two words.

Bob Watson.

He is based in Oxfordshire and has a 550bhp dyno.

Geoff at AmD won't let you test on the dyno as it is very busy as it is - he has bookings for weeks using it to tune cars, so he just can't afford the roller time.

I spent Sunday night crawling through it. JZMachtech are the boys. Somewhere out near Oxford, they have a rolling road and will pick your car up on a flat bed if you require (free within 25 miles). Their rates are pretty good too.

I'll give them a ring today.

OK, car booked in at JZ for the 4th of March. Had very long chat (too long considering i'm at work...) with Steve. First point is you shouldn't run a (Porsche) turbo on a rolling road. You just can't get the air flow into the intercooler and risk detonation within seconds of your run

Second point is it's going to get a complete suspension overhaul. Steve confirmed my concern over the ride height. Not sure what the outcome will be, could be just a set of springs, or may be a full roock setup (ouch).

Only time will tell.

OK, really caught the bug now. Just booked the car in with Southbound to have all carpets replaced and the front seats recovered. I'm going for a different carpet colour (some blue colour can't remember the name) which was an option at the time for my car colour). This should avoid the need to clean them every 5 mins like the current white(ish) ones. All bits/materials will be official Porsche stuff.

This is complete overkill, and is probably unnecessary if only I could stop driving the thing and clean it.

Anyone want a spread bet on the time that it takes me to book a bare metal respray?

Earliest this can be done is April
