Great footage to see. I've been told that these old 2 litre cars running crossplies ? I believe have very little grip. Yet to experience it first hand but looks great fun.

Surely period type tyres, as Graeme said above - crossplys?

So that's what it's like in the dry hehe

....going past the e-type just before the Cortina took some cajones, as his LHS tyres were well off the circuit.

Nice.

No idea but I guess he might be either being paid or paying very little. His knees are on the under dash bar. Definately partnering a short arse.

Saw Dave Dennet from DSD Motorwerks today, wetting myself as I showed him the clip, and he cooly said, 'he didn't keep it up for long, I will bring a picture in of that car totalled.' I will scan and paste if he finds it.

bow

Ive just watched this and am in complete and utter awe! A quarter of a turn of opposite lock through eau rouge at full chat. I would be upside down and spinning like a politician.

Just awesome control and very humbling.

oops I guess he took a few too many chances. But hey when racing that's always a very tough call. You can go from hero to zero rather quickly. Been there, done that, read the book, got the tee shirt and watched the video. Porsche Cup 1996 and very niave. Would have been the first ever to win the individual class championship and overall winner of the series from Class 1.
