I am waiting to pick up my beast next week after the "big" service, mot etc. she sat for a bit trying to sell in a dealer but the market is a little quiet. So I had to get her back as I missed that rumble. That brings me onto how I can get that little extra without making my ears bleed.
I have re packed the shark cans with stainless wadding which made a small difference. I don't want to de cat straight through.
So will it make a difference to remove the 2 boxes at the rear just behind the exhaust cans?
Any experience, examples of sound would be great.

Thanks

Yes I believe it does make a difference, a few have done it, and they have posted comments/videos of it. They say it makes it sound/loud like a de-cat system but without MOT issues.

Personnally I say remove everything and worry about it when the time comes. wink

Have you thought of wrapping/coating the exhausts/manifold, as this will help produce more crisp pops and bangs, but not more noise, and some flames too, but mine is de-catted.

If it helps.... this is what's inside the back boxes.... not quite what I was expecting (i.e. I was expecting.... something!!)

I will see what happens with the main de cat. The only thing I have now is those back boxes as some form of muffler.
The stainless wadding in my shark cans as well as the de cat should irritate my neighbour just fine.
I did not expect the rear boxes to look like that. Not sure what I expected in fairness. smile

Mine has had the back boxes removed and had the cans sleeved. It sounds amazing but a bit too loud IMHO. Forget any cosey relationship with the neighbours if you go that route wink

At least the next portion of tinned garden peas will have that special note added... "peas a la Tuscany"?
