The Time Has Come Finally, and hoping for some help...
Discussion
Hello all. Well the time has come and i am now looking for a Mk1 Tuscan (S). Woohoo!!!
However, i am based up in Aberdeen, and before i start travelling down south to have a look at a few, was wondering if there was anyone up in aberdeen that i could possibly visit and have a look at theirs, and gather any advice on anything i should look for when looking at them. I have experience of Chimeras, and read all the buyers guides for Tuscans, but would be useful to chat to someone who actually owns one and hear what they have to say.
I know that people may have already started tucking them up for the winter, but any help would be greatly appreciated
Many thanks

After my first "normal" Tuscan I bought a MK1 S beginning this year at Bespoke Performance.
You will read a lot of good advise and a lot of b...st on this forum, imho main issue is to get a car with a history, a proven strong engine (be it through a rebuild or a lucky one with good parts) and preferably one that is used as it is supossed to. I asked a specialist to check the car first, I would advise anyone that is not techincal to do the same it saved me from one deathtrap at least.
I am sure there will be some real specilaist advising on this treat soon. Good luck with following your dream !

Not exactly Aberdeen, but I'm in Edinburgh - you're welcome to have a look at my Mk1 S if you're in town. To get an idea of running costs etc, have a look at the car in my profile (although bear in mind that mine needed a bit of work doing when I got it so first year costs are a bit higher than average).
The TVRCC monthly meet is on the 14th October at the Brechin castle centre at about 12pm. There will be a few of us going down from Aberdeen and surrounding area. There is usually a good mix of cars there including a few Tuscans. You should come along for a look and chat, it's probably the best pace to get the most info and look at a few TVRS.

If your leaving from the Aberdeen area, we normally meet at Duthie Park for about 11:00. You could possibly scrounge a lift. Many thanks
