So, I'm in the process of recommissioning my MK 1. Charged the battery, it locks and unlocks OK, alarm works but fuel pump doesn't prime and no power to starter motor. The little red light in the dash recess doesn't come on at all. I've tried resetting by uncoupling the 100 Amp fuse in the passenger footwell and re-attaching but no joy. I've not tried swapping out the fuel pump and immobiliser fuses yet as they are a pig to get to! Has anyone had similar issues that were fixed by changing these fuses?

My immobiliser packed up recently with the same symptoms. I've temporarily wired around it so the car will run but I've had issues with the relays in the alarm unit as well so I'm going to replace the whole system.

I'm thinking I'm going to have to bypass mine. Is it an easy job or autoelectritian territory?

It's straight forward. I can forward the connection details if needed.

That would be great! I'm currently digging around in the drivers footwell. Have found the alarm module but not the immobiliser yet!

Message sent. It should be in the same place.

The immobiliser ist kaput! I've removed it and temporarily bypassed it. The car started first time after being sat for nearly 3 years! Seems to be idling ok, fans came on at right temperatures, so all appears ok. It's going for a trip to Coventry in July for Dom's 4.3 upgrade at Powers Performance.
Thanks to Dave at HF Solutions for advice. I'll be sending off the alarm unit for pairing with a new immobiliser unit, then just "plug and play" all for a reasonable price.

Update. Got a new immobiliser and fitted myself. All working normally. Thanks to Dave at HF Solutions for advice and great service at a reasonable price. The original TVR factory wiring was completely wrong! The starter circuit was wired to go through the wrong relay and even though it would work, eventually it would cause problems with hot starts etc... All sorted now.

I also replaced the battery as it wasn't holding charge and took the opportunity to wire in one of these.

I've now got easy access to trickle charge the battery so hopefully this new battery will last.
