Drivers door window fault

I've an intermittent fault developing where when closing the drivers door window in small increments it gets to halfway then starts going down again; if i try and close on the full i.e rotate the control knob 180plus degrees in one sweep it often will close, if I lock the car it closes no problem.

Any similar experiences before I start fault finding?

Have found the fault which seems to be in the actual small electrics behind the window control knob, I can't find those listed on any parts sites, anyone actually changed one before?

Hi,

I replaced rotary switch electrical component part with one from maplin. You can buy them from TVR Power, but I'm sure others will do it. The part I fitted had more pulses per revolution meaning less rotation for window movements, which help get a good sweep in a single motion.
