Main Bonnet

Can anyone let me know where you can get the rubber mushrom type bonnet stop that fits at the top of the main bonnet, and meets with the scuttle panel ?

Racetech seem to do one for the Cerb, http://www.racetechdirect.co.uk/u0811-tvr-car-part... but i'm not sure if it would work on the Tuscan ?

I didn't get anything in the end that matched the original part.

I got the smaller mushrooms from Racetech form the Cerb, but they are not the same as the original from the Tuscan.

Nobody seems to know where these came from originally. Closest advice I got was an adapted one of these:

Not sure whether the metal threaded section goes all the way through the rubber. When I had mine resprayed recently they rebuilt the existing one up with layers of new rubber.

Does anyone have a picture of these fitted?

I don't think mine has anything and the bonnet does bounce around a little when driving, maybe that's the problem!

On a Tuscan convertible , not sure if the same on a MK1.


Sits on the Velcro pad. I put a flat on it so the wiper cover can remain in place.

I was looking for the same thing & spoke to race tech , they said it was a exhaust rubber with 8mm thread, one end removed & filed to a point as per tvr original fitment. I have now do so & worked perfectly
