Just browsing some classifieds, and noticed a car for up for sale at str8six mentioning:

"...has the very rare, very desirable, fast-action bootlid 'pop up' kit"

What is this?!

I've never heard of it before, was it a factory option, or aftermarket?

Was aftermarket at Racing green, basically an extra solenoid that pushed/popped the bootlid up an inch so you could lift it up more easily.

Has anyone else come up with a solution for this?

Not a 'pop up' bootlid, but when I upgraded the alarm last year I had the spare button on the fob programmed to unlatch the boot. Very useful.

Easy and cheap solution is to use the standard TVR factory fix for both doors and boot "pop open" . Feed a length of stiff neoprene tubing (clear fuel line type stuff) into the rubber door seal, use a diameter that gives the best release whilst not making it difficult to close . About a 5p mod smile.

That's a cracking idea! I've sometime had the doors not popping open very far, and this would stiffen up the seals.
Might give this a go shortly!
