Hi all
In my research about my 456 bank idling high +30% ish but under throttle appears okay ( see my other post )
I have heard / read that the Dallas chip can fix this
1. Is there 2 chips one for each bank ?
2. Has anyone replaced them and any comments
3. Is it easy to replace/ fit

Thanks

Just one chip per ECU and easy to change, but doubt this is your issue as only one adaptive looks seriously out.

If the Dallas Chip is broken/discharged, the Adaptives would start with Zero everytime you start the car. But as the ECU holds the values (as it seems), the Chip should be OK.

BTW, it's a Dallas DS1230. You should reset the adaptives and the throttle after replacing the old one.

Is this the beastie? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/273089913502 Is it worth me buying 1 or 2 to keep as a spare in case of future rarity?
