I’m just reading about this in my newspaper. I can’t find any data but doubt that my Chim 500 will be happy running on E10:-

This article only tells half of the story. There has been lots of debate and correspondence on this. The government and department of transport have confirmed that E5 high octane fuel will also continue to be sold along side the E10.

There have been times when touring in Europe, that I've had to use E10 petrol.

I didn't notice any adverse affects. Ethanol is still a combustible fuel. I understand about the concerns with degradation of the rubber components in the fuel system, but I believe the service garages are aware of this now. We can also use the Mk.1 eyeball ourselves.

Have to add that the Tuscan enjoyed the 102 Octane fuel that is quite often offered at autobahn services in Germany ;-).

Just buy Esso Supreme+, it's rated 'e5' but contains NO ethanol. I switched from only ever buying Shell V-Power to this when I discovered that fact.
My worry is that they will only continue to offer it for sale while there's a sufficient demand for it... hence spreading the word.
I suppose I should state have no affiliation to Esso nor am I a shareholder (that I know of!)

What a useful thread, thanks! I was aware of varying degrees of ethanol, but not that Esso Supreme+99 was ethanol free. Strange as I used to fill up there with my old cerb with whatever their unleaded+ variant was 10 years ago; as the garage was right at the bottom of the road.
Been using V-power since getting the most recent cerb and moving house.

Worth noting their website states 'Supreme+ 99 is actually ethanol free (except, due to technical supply reasons, in Devon, Cornwall, the Teesside area, Scotland and NW England).' Which again, ironically, is me stuffed being down in the SW.
