Perhaps you ought to reconsider- particularly if its an insurance value!

We paid £23k for ours last June, a Mk1 4.0 on 65k miles with a Powers rebuild at 54k and a load of other decent upgrades. And that was via a dealer. Insurance valued at £26k. Which feels about right as the car was up for £27k.

Values aren't great at the moment but £19k seems under valued in my opinion smile

You managed to knock £4k off a dealer?

It was being sold via a dealer on the behalf of the owner- dealer taking a fixed fee commission on sale, so there was more wriggle room on price. The big discount in this instance was due to the previous owner having already found the car's replacement and agreed a price on it- but they couldn't move until the Tuscan sold. We just happened to be in the right place at the right time and the car happened to be in our perfect spec. I think the advert was up for about 4 days before the sale was agreed!

Absolutely! We weren't properly looking at the time as it was about 6 months too early for us, fortunately we had massively underspent on our wedding and honeymoon the year before so had the funds available to go for it. It did cause some storage issues initially as we already had 3 cars (including another TVR) in a house with only 3 parking spaces, but they do say necessity is the mother of all invention!
