I was showing some interested strangers my engine bay and managed to drop one of the nuts that bolt the main bonnet down into the radiator fan, which has disappeared into the abyss. It seems that there is a gap at the bottom of the radiator fan, which falls into a section at the front of the car, which I can see into through the holes in the front of the bumper (Mk1), with a small ridge with a valley behind it.
