Agreed. It'll effect residuals and the engine can keep the cabin pretty warm at times.

I'd say it's definitely worthwhile. I was stuck in traffic on Sunday afternoon for about 40 minutes. And even with the roof off the heat from the engine was making the cabin rather uncomfortable until I turned the aircon up to full power.

Buy it with aircon. It will be far more difficult to sell later without. Tuscans can get very hot inside too. Contrary to popular belief the Tuscan aircon works quite well and will direct a good quantity of reasonably cool air into the cabin.

Yep definately, just wait till you are stuck in traffic in the mid-summer heat.Come to think of it I reckon we probably had summer last weekend so dont bother.

IMHO it is absolutely necessary to have aircon. Even on moderately warm days you can feel the interior heating up pretty quickly, so on a really hot summer day it would be quite bad without.

There's already been some debate as to where the cold air comes from.

I have warm air coming from the windscreen vents and from the footwells but the cold air from the aircon only comes through the vents under the steering wheel.

I think it all depends on what day it was when the car was built!

I have cold air from the steering wheel vents and dash vents but hot from the vent under the dash on the transmission tunnel.

I noticed on someones factory visit, there was a left hand drive tuscan with extra vents on the dash above the stereo.

Should you get it? Yes, Why? Because it will help a lot when you come to sell it. Is it any good? IMO NO!!
Have driven quite a few Tuscans with A/C when i was originally looking for mine (summertime 02) and even had a brand new Tamora this weekend with A/C and that was equally pants. My car has A/C and i got it for the reasoning above but it is really quite useless. At this time of year when the weather is farly cool its not that bad but wait until a hot day in July and i guarantee that to sit in the cockpit with roof on and windows up with your A/C going at full pelt it will still be like sitting in a sauna. If its hot enough for A/C its hot enough to get your top off!!

Strange - in really hot weather if the roof is on / windows up I have to turn it off after an hour because it's getting too cold. No much good with the roof off though.....

So why is the Tuscan AC so crap? It's hardly a cheap optional extra. Can we upgrade to a 'proper' unit, that actually blasts out icy air? Or is the problem that the Tuscan heat is so much more than a normal car that the AC, however great, simply can't combat it?

I still don't know whether the AC in my car actually works. It doesn't seem any better than the normal 'cold' setting on other cars regular heaters... Pretty disappointed.

I can get hot air from all the vents except the steering wheel ones which only ever give cold

My Aircon seems to work quite well (some days better than others) but only really has 2 settings, Arctic or Saharan. Occasionally, when it’s in a really good mood, it will let you have medium temperature air.
