I'm a relatively new TVR owner (Tuscan delivered Sept) and have been taking quite a bit of interest in recent postings over SP6 engines and the (sometimes) heated comment.

Don't want to re-start a thread of negative comments over reliability but does anyone know if Wheeler ever reads this stuff and does he ever meet with TVR owners in some form of forum to discuss popular issues / worries(owners club for example?). It's particularly concerning that one owner (as posted on this site) has written to Wheeler with no response. That's just basic customer service surely?

Has Enzo Ferrari ever respond???

Has Piech ever respond???

Has Mr. Porsche ever respond???

Guys don't be silly, PW is the chairman and he has to run the company and not to speak with every customer.

I know of chairman of much bigger companies respond to customer complaints written directly to them, at the very LEAST delegate the task.

No response at all is just vey poor.

Is that an excuse not to respond to a personal letter then ?

Peter Wheeler Dealer has hardly got a big company to run, and as he caters for a niche market surely keeping the customer happy by at least responding to a letter is a must if TVR are to survive in the future.

BORING!! This subject has been done to death, and if you want service, go to your dealer, and let them take the strain - that's what they're there for. I think we all know your story now, Angrybeats, and I sympathise, but it's getting a bit repetitive now. Let's do the positive aspect of TVR ownership a bit more, especially for newer owners. My car has been great, barring a few minor niggles, and my dealers have always been courteous and helpful. I appreciate that I've never had a major problem to sort out, but dodgy Speed6 engines are hopefully a thing of the past, caused by a poor supplier, so let's think positive!! ::

If you want to find Peter, look on the factory floor rather than his office at least that is where I have always found him.

He is more of a hands on person than a pen pusher.

Give the guy a break he works bloody hard. Just my opinion of course

TVR are always different and a hand built supercar for under 100K is going to have problems occassionally - try as `nubbin' says look at the positive side of ownership or if you want the same performance as the Tuscan with customer response - buy a Space shuttle off Nasa and speak to them.

Just in reply to this the the answer is YES !!!! Enzo responded to a letter of complaint about my mothers 365 personally and I still have the letter added to that the dealer where the car came from recieved the biggest kick up the a*** known to man, and made such an effort to rectify the problem with loan cars and tickets to shows etc etc. As a result one lady who has bought 6 cars since from Ferrari. Their is no excuse in not reponding, I get letters from the general public about my products weekly some good some bad and If I don't personally repond to them one of my staff members does within 48hrs its part of our company policy. Just no excuse !!! The guy just cant be bothered and dosent deserve the success and business he gets having said all that I have had Tiv's for ages and love them to bits just a shame about the dealers and the company !

That's right Gaffer('s daughter), Peter is often found wandering around development/racing/GT/styling in his (large) Hush Puppies changing his mind on an almost daily basis, while the engineers pull their hair out attempting to keep pace with his whims and grunts.

He is rarely found on the production line, though, other than using it as a short-cut to more interesting parts of the establishment.

I think you'll agree, yes?
