Guys

Here's a photo off the TVRCC website. If you look under 'past events' you'llfind the photo's taken at the A1 GP, including one of mine with Nigel Mansell sat in the back...

Hi Paul,

Thanks for the background history on the HHC car. I am happy that you feel the car is in excellent condition as I have not seen it in the flesh yet. I have taken a leap of faith in Tony at HHC and bought based on his description and photographs and of course my history with HHC and my Chimaera which I also bought from Tony.
I beleive we met at a local TVRCC meet last summer. Hope to find time when next in the UK to attend another meeting or event.
David

Here is a couple of photo's taken when Graham came to Le Mans with us last year. Graham is a serious TVR owner and keeps his cars in lovely condition, and this Tuscan was certainly no exception.

The three North East Convertibles who came on our Le Mans trip...

You're Tuscan on the French motorway...

Look forward to seeing you at some of the TVR events this year thumbup

I'll try and see if Don Hastie has photos of the British Grand Masters race where convertibles were used on the parade lap...It would be nice if we had a photo of each of the 15 cars with their GP drivers.(please e-mail me any if you have them)..Also I'll add some build pics at the end chassis and body shells.

Any joy with this ? I'd be really interested to see which cars were there, my convertable was, at the time, the Castle demonstrator and may have been there it would be nice for the provenance...

I was over at Racing Green this weekend. They have the red press car (PO55 BKD) in for some work. Apparently it had quite a big smash in Geneva - the front end didn't look to good.

They had quite a few Tuscan Convertibles around. Apart from the Laser Blue and Black cars listed for sale on their website, there was also a silver one and a blue one (the latter having some front end damage).

Any chance of getting their details?? Vin nos, mileage etc and a photo or two...Got 3 more we didn't have at Chatsworth... and one is paying £210 Car Tax, so we can save him some money...but I don't know his name.

Great register Keith! thumbup

Quick question: what is the benefit of listing all the VIN numbers? I'm just wondering, could all these details combined on a public site not pose a risk for fraudulent use?

I've only used the last 4 digits of the VIN number, since it strikes me that TVR used to sequentially allocate the last 4 digits for every car of any model type in a particular year, anyone could guess a valid set of last 4 digits. But the last 4 digits uniquely identify a Convertible since only produced from Sept 2005 (when nos were upto 300'ish) and May/June 2006 and only reached 80/90 ish. (I could just use the that 3 digits, since all start 1xxx). I hope I'm not giving any secrets away by say this. If I am can a mod delete this post.

Thanks for the explanation Keith. It didn't exactly reassure me though, so I hope you don't mind that I won't post my VIN!

It is useful to have the information on the register because it allows us to sort the cars into the order they were produced.

We could always change it to a column headed 'Production Year/Build Number' - ie mine would be 2005-310

Good suggestion that man biggrin
I've changed to Build No., we don't need the Year, as I say it becomes obvious from the build number. In fact those last four digits were the build numbers in the factory.

Yes - that would have been me (one of my regular routes).

Lovely colour on yours - is it the one that featured in the Evo group test?

There is another car that does not appear on the register, It's one I nearly bought from Drivestyle Harrogate last year.

The car was a Mk 2 Tuscan convertible S the car was on a 56 plate registered in 2006 and was in a pale metalic blue colour it had aproximately 6k on the clock (a nice car it was too). im sure Phil at Drivestyle Harrogate would have the details of this car.

Nice one Simon, I'll update the register. Appears to be a '55 non-S(blue rocker cover).
